Re: Orchestral Tools: Monolith (first recording at Air Studios)

Jap, "majestic aura of musical history" precisely Anders. :) Sure thing, you are right, I played on a >100 year old Boesendorfer 290 Imperial in Vienna once, I played Imperials before, and sure there was something special about it, but honestly, this is true for every instrument, even ana...

Re: Orchestral Tools: Monolith (first recording at Air Studios)

All but one of the drums have animal skin heads, and some are over 100 years old—these antiques not only sound amazing, they also emanate a majestic aura of musical history. How I despise this marketing crap! Animal skin does sound different from synthetic, as does coated or clear heads etc… My gue...

Re: Pro Tools 2024.3

Hopefully something like these will come further down the line. If they also added the abilty to control Midi CCs over Avid's own EuCon protocol, I might actually consider switching composing from Cubase to Pro Tools. Might. Use the automation window on your plugin/instrument Add the parameters you...

Ok, tips.
Can only go on what I got.
Fracture Sounds original pianos bundle.
The Cargocult Spanner (not necessarily a must if you don’t mix in atmos)
Anything and everything orchestral tools.
But most important Bunker Samples and Realitones libraries.

Re: Another day, another miracle - Accentize dxRevive

My experience is as yours, I've tried it on a few different sources (tv-shows). It's a NOPE for me. And although impressive, the Production Expert demo was, I still hear that lifelessness that most noise reduction plugins creates. I've more or less gone back to multiband expanders and use reduction ...

Realitone Sunset Choir

https://youtu.be/TG4RYXFy22E @MikeGreen - you should do a “give me your cash” articulation. Perhaps you’ve already have, if so where should I send them :) Sounds great listening through the noise that is NAMM. Got plenty of mileage out of the strings. I’m sure this will be as useful. Best of luck wi...

Re: Spitfire / Autograph Grand (free LABS library)

…control a piano's dynamic timbre differentiation with a modwheel rather than with velocity, is completely beyond me. I searched but can't find a single argument for that approach to make any sense, nor can I think of a single situation where that would be the preferred way to work with a piano. __...

Re: Spitfire / Autograph Grand (free LABS library)

Quite sure in the sense that the library doesn't respond or behave like a piano at all, yes. I see. Haven't tried the Glass nor the Autograph instrument. Your post tickled my interest so I had to try it. No keyboard attached. Didn't come to the same conclusion as you regarding the behavior. ... Sti...

Re: Spitfire / Autograph Grand (free LABS library)

The bad news is that, like the Glass piano of last year, it doesn’t respond (or hardly responds) to incoming velocity data and the dynamics have to be controlled instead with the mod wheel. __ Piet are you sure? It sounds like they've sampled two (perhaps three) dynamic layers and that the knob is ...

Me too.
Crazy they just stole the idea without giving you credit. I mean the least thing they’ve could have done is some sort of collab.
