Whoa, first post in a while! Refreshing to visit the calm wisdom of SoundBoard . Just a small housekeeping favor...the title of this thread may be more clear with "aka LASS 3" removed as MSS is not actually LASS 3, which is a forthcoming, separate product.

The more I hear, I think I'm realizing that what I love about this library is this notion of a "clean but human" sound...like a perfect balance to my ears. There is a subtle fragility to the brass tones in their lower dynamics, for example, that is just beautiful. Also, the thought of MSB ...

Oh! What a great idea, Guy...never even crossed my mind to combine them. I do have a need for some good mid-to-higher frequency percussive stuff so will probably give Colossus II a spin. And currently for $52...even if I find 10 usable patches it's well worth it.

Anyone own both Colussus I and II? From the demos, they sound pretty similar. I know Matt mentioned there are more percussive/rhythmic elements in II, but wondering what users think...

Does not, in any way, shape, or form feel like a major release upgrade. More like v8.5.30. And certainly not worth $99 IMO. Very disappointed!

I too had to call tech support after install. For some reason Cubase did not recognize the VST...simple fix of re-scanning plugins in the Plug-In manager (which I've never had to do before) did the trick.

Wow, too bad it's just one level of Undo...thanks for the heads up!

Matt, these patches are soooo good! Once again made me ask the question "Omnisphere can do THAT?!" Best set so far, IMO...thanks for your hard work!

All in all, I'm afraid I don't quite share your enthusiasm for 8.5 Tobias. Overall its worth it for such a small upgrade fee for stuff like the drag to repeat, import tracks from sessions, the improved New Track features, but it feels very much like tinkering at the margins while all the new suppos...
