Re: Fiedler Audio / Stage (placement and stereo-toolkit plugin)

Since we're on the topic, I have to again plug EAReverb2 as a lower cost alternative to SPAT.

From the screenshots and walkthrough, looks like full CTAO mics are present. So, probably no reason not to take the free upgrade.

Re: A New Addition to your Spitfire Symphonic Collection Coming Thursday !

I'm not really confused by it -- I understand they are trying to rebrand their products to be clearer -- but as someone who already owns all their orchestral stuff, I'm patiently awaiting a new release that I find interesting. :)

Welp, it's Mural Evolutions repackaged as Symphonic Strings Evolutions: https://www.spitfireaudio.com/shop/a-z/spitfire-symphonic-strings-evolutions/ https://d1t3zg51rvnesz.cloudfront.net/p/images/cms2/475/smc0230_portrait_productview.jpg Mural Evo is pretty cool, and I suppose if you were among tho...

That guess pretty much covers all your bases. :)

I suspect it's going to be a repackaged Percussion, but I'll be rather happy to learn it's something new.

How frustrating. I'm afraid that, for their plugins, I'm not able to find any resellers either. I suppose the universe is telling you to be happy with the Lexicon PCM reverbs. :)

I suppose there's no subforum that exactly fits this request, so maybe this one is as good as any of them. I did update the title with "Wanted" per the Find a Person or Service forum rules, though. I hope you don't mind. Good luck with your search. Being Canadian, I'm quite far away from O...

Re: Spitfire PAIRS promotion / 2 for the price of 1

Yes, I've come to terms with the fact that my ability is vastly inferior to what the libraries I own can deliver, so I might as well work on addressing the former before padding the latter. I suppose those criticisms with eDNA are really to do with the limitations imposed by Kontakt? Hard to impleme...

Did anyone else take advantage of this promotion? I let it pass me by, but I was tempted for a moment to pick up LCO.

Re: FabFilter 25% off Bundle Sale till July 30th

It's true. I know that it has been rather unfashionable these days to gush over Dan Worrall's videos, but he's just such a remarkably great presenter and all his videos are so accessible, and they showcase the products wonderfully (even his non-FabFilter videos).

Re: New Waves F6 Floating-Band Dynamic EQ

Pro-MB can't do narrow Qs though, so if for example you wanted to notch out a frequency past a certain threshold, Pro-MB won't work well. FabFilter has expressed interest in doing a dynamic EQ plugin though (and keeping it separate from Pro-Q under the guise of being lightweight but in reality proba...

Been using MuseScore myself when the need arises. It isn't as friendly or slick as it might be, but it seems pretty capable and the price is great. And, oh, look, a new version with some interesting new stuff . My main problem with MuseScore is MIDI output capability. It requires obscure and difficu...

The initial announcement said Q1, but the website has said Q2 2017 for a while now. However as of today we're in Q3, so clearly they have troubles with software estimation as much as everyone else in the business. :)

I picked up the PCM Native Reverb bundle for $199 from Plugin Discounts last Black Friday. So it can get cheaper, but the bestservice.de price is pretty close.

Re: Synthogy / Ivory II Studio Grands

It's been a while, but I do recall liking Synthogy's engine. I just never liked the tone of their pianos. The Concert D came closest but there was just something not right about the samples to my ears. The Steinway B sounds pretty good. I'm tempted. I think I'll hold off for user feedback though. Al...

I picked up the Deluxe version without reading the fine print. I don't have Trillian or the Bob Moog Tribute, so these bonus patches are virtual doorstops at the moment. I'm not too fussed -- I don't mind supporting Matt, and in any case if I do ever decide to pick up either or both of those, I'll h...

I disable Defender as part of a group policy. It stays disabled when you do that.

If you're using W10, the easiest way I've found to disable that and other obnoxious Windows behavior is ShutUp10.

Thanks for maintaining this, Kayle. This consolidated list is far more useful than fragmented, individual posts that we see over at VI-C.
