Yes, unfortunately the website back-end is having some issues... the team is working around the clock trying to fix them. Sorry everyone.

Re: Introducing Red Room Audio and the "Palette" Orchestral Series, plus a freebie!

Well, I'm listed on the website , so I guess Dickie considers me as part of RRA. It's literally a sister company to Impact Soundworks - Dickie does graphics for ISW, I do scripting for ISW, Christian does audio editing for ISW, and also Nabeel helped with some scripting (and he's main KSP developer ...

Re: Introducing Red Room Audio and the "Palette" Orchestral Series, plus a freebie!

The trailer is in the first post, first video link ;) Yeah there's no recording stuff to tape through Neve preamps here to smear the frequency response like Spitfire do it (to great effect, might I add). It's a pretty dry hall so it might be that. Personally I don't find the sound harsh, honestly (e...

Introducing Red Room Audio and the "Palette" Orchestral Series, plus a freebie!

Since Dickie doesn't have an account here, hope you don't mind if I cross-post this here in his stead. Also, ask away! -------------- Greetings! Dickie here from Impact Soundworks. We're proud to announce our new "sister" label, Red Room Audio . It's been difficult keeping this under wraps...

It's not a huuuuuge drop, but it's enough to let the CPU breathe more.

Re: U-he Repro-5: Now in Public Beta

This is a slight tangent. but read on a post elsewhere that Reaper's reporting of CPU is under-representative of real load, whereas Cubase is pretty accurate. My figures are from Task Manager, not Reaper's performance meter. In any case, for severe multitracking with this one, Freeze will become yo...

Re: U-he Repro-5: Now in Public Beta

Average CPU usage over here in Reaper is 10-20% (depending on HQ and MC buttons - 20% is HQ on), all 8 voices at full blast unison and a ton of resonance, on my OC'd i7-6700K at 4.5 GHz. Decent. :D

Re: Toontrack Superior Drummer 3

HDD setting is worse than SSD - it loads more of stuff into RAM, because HDDs are slower than SSDs. But it also relaxes how often things are streamed, so yeah... I guess if you can afford the RAM load, go for it.

Computer doesn't care about the number of sticks of RAM you have. It's all one big pool of memory.

It would more likely be your disk, rather than RAM, in that case.

I thought if anyone has questions regarding how stuff operates, and so on. :)

But here you go with a quick 2-bar runthrough through all 10 available tambourines (no FX, fully dry):

Re: UVI Falcon: 30% off, 2 free expansions and $100 of UVI libraries

Honestly, can't really point to just one video... I guess see Advanced Modulation, Advanced Synthesis 1 and 2 videos, and perhaps also Advanced Effects video from the UVI Falcon playlist... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD7QJw-NdSg&index=7&list=PLj53xz6jWjGgUiE-hfDgeFArPHHnBt8fw I'd say it...

Re: UVI Falcon: 30% off, 2 free expansions and $100 of UVI libraries

Falcon is a genius tool for sound design. Watch through Dan Worrall's videos, and if that doesn't have you nodding or loosening your jaw a bit, it's probably not up your alley. My advice would be not to look at it as a replacement to Kontakt. It's an adjunct. A really, REALLY powerful adjunct, with ...

Managing libraries is going to be done in NA from now on, not within Kontakt. You can only sort out visibility of libraries by going to Kontakt's Options->Libraries.

Re: Toontrack Superior Drummer 3

For those of you who purchased the upgrade from SD2 to SD3, did you uninstall SD2 first, or just leave it in place? I can see leaving it alone if it is perhaps locked into some old projects, but what if SD2 is no longer needed? I left SD2 there, will go through all my projects and save all SD2 inst...

Re: Toontrack Superior Drummer 3

I have AD... it's pretty good, but one has to be aware that they use compressed samples (not sure if lossless or not, I think I recall them mentioning somewhere it's variable bitrate compression of sorts). Toontrack doesn't do that in Superior (but does for EZD). Ditto BFD - uncompressed samples. Al...
