EvilDragon wrote: May 02, 2018 9:57 am It's not fully sample based, it has digital (DSP) oscillators as well (like those in Prophet-12). The filters sound absolutely yummy on this one. But yeah it only has 150 GB of samples because 8dio cannot sample things efficiently, haha. :)
I lost my coffee on that comment. :)

Re: Prophet X

What a curious history that Sequential name has, thanks Andrew. And that's before we consider the Circuits, which has I guess been dropped entirely? I guess... EDIT: I missed that Dave Smith had now switched over to "Sequential" for naming. Pretty clear with this release he is doing that.

Re: Prophet X

Huh - what's the story here? Dave Smith releases under his own name now, but the Sequential name was owned by someone else and I guess that 8dio have now licensed that? Hi Guy, the deal with the Sequential Circuits Name/brand was, the company ceased to be back in 1987. Yamaha scooped up the assets....

Hi Greg, If you use Reaper, here is a Google image search result that should be helpful. I was looking at this earlier today, as I have been toying with getting into Reaper... https://www.google.ca/search?q=reaper+lufs+meter&rlz=1C1ASUM_enCA641CA641&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=...

Re: For the next 4 days only: PSP Xenon for $29 instead of $249

Broadcast really Guy - hence why I quoted that particular bit of Heisenberg's post (again below...) From a strictly utilitarian point of view this app is remarkable. You need to get your output ready for TV broadcast specs, -23 LUFS, and you are there in a couple of minutes even if your stuff is al...

Re: For the next 4 days only: PSP Xenon for $29 instead of $249

Can anyone state exactly how the copy protection works on this? I know PSP has been migrating to iLok/PACE, but this appears to not yet be affected. I don't have a PACE driver installed, nor have I or will I ever register an iLok account, so anything along those lines would be a deal killer whether...

Andres, thanks for pointing this out. Watched the demo and another review/demo. This plugin clearly makes an audible difference even with a casual listen to the end result and with the quick workflow makes this a tempting purchase.

Re: AMBEO Orbit - free binaural panner plugin

Andres, thank you for this remarkable list of 360 (immersive) audio related tools! Wow. Binaural audio, practically speaking, is where a lot of the paid work is going to come from in my estimation, at least in the near term, for immersive audio work particularly if you are doing 360 video aimed for ...

Re: FabFilter Pro-L 2 Announced

That is an excellent discount! Seriously considering it myself even though I have reasonably good loudness control built into Nuendo. FabFilter's implementation, as you can see from the first video posted, Pro L2 is nothing short of excellent. The additional "personal discounts" existing u...

I noticed the Lexicon PCM Bundles are on sale again with JRRSHOP. Not a big deal but a cautionary note, as I picked them up last year... You get the Not for Resale version. Plugins are the same but you won't be able to resell them in the future. Still an incredible deal for this plugin set.

You also have the benefit of using EVO 2 so you know how to coax the aleatoric melodic washes out of them. Good luck in your pursuit!
