I bought the upgrade but found the interface almost as arcane as the LASS 2.5 and haven’t dug into it very far. I haven’t replaced the old LASS in my template.
I opened 3 today and found one thing strange-it seems everything is set to poly legato? Is there an easy way to switch it to mono legato?

Re: East West Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra Strings
I don’t think having developers aggressively defend their products from peoples’ opinions is a thing we want to have here. Key word “aggressively.” Hi Larry! hope you are well! Agreed and I was not referring to Nick's post specifically. I read a question somewhere above about whether developers wer...

Re: East West Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra Strings
Pretty much true. The comments are just silly and just show a disconnect with reality. Is it classy to post like 6 times about how you think we have lost it and our engine doesn’t work on his 2002 Mac? All you have to do is watch the walk through video to know. You know, Nick, are you talking about...

Re: East West Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra Strings
Jay, This is very disappointing. You worked for East West until recently and what now you are some revenge kick? I’m sorry that you personally don’t get any work in the fantasy/video game/film realm. But it is a very valid genre that many of us love. This library is a complete orchestra with a uniq...

Re: Spitfire / Appassionata ("Impulse Legato" Strings)
Very nice soaring tone with good legato. I would have wished vibrato had gone to molto.

If you had to guess, would you think they’d try again in the next year or two?soundbylaura wrote: ↑Mar 29, 2023 8:45 pm Adobe did it. Yes I think it's possible they will try again.

Re: Waves go subscription only
Y’all don’t think the same reaction will occur if they try it again? I think they aim with the subs for the young generation and if they manage to get them onboard and get a good stable revenue from that, then it will be much easier to make the step again as then they have already a lot of folks co...

Re: Waves go subscription only
I thought it was pretty clever of them to go full EW-everything on sale always, sell tons of products at low prices. It seemed to be working-I bought about ten plugins from them after I thought I was done with the company forever.
This move is too clever by half. I don’t think it will go well.

Re: East West Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra Strings
It's clear to me they're now aiming squarely at the subscription model, as the cost of subscribing to the whole series will be far more than subscribing for a good number of years.

You could do it in Cubase 5-but it sucked. It’s genius now comparatively.

I find it surprisingly good when changing tempo of a project.
Pitch and time improved dramatically as of Cubase 6.

Re: Spitfire / British Drama Toolkit: Brass and Reeds
Yes, it sounds great. No doubt about it. All the more a pity, I find, that they’ve focused, yet again, almost exclusively on the slow and very slow side of things. With Andy Blaney increasingly out of the picture — I don’t know whether that is actually true, but that’s definitely how it looks — the...

Re: Spitfire / British Drama Toolkit: Brass and Reeds
I haven't gotten a tremendous use out of the first Drama Toolkit but I've liked what I've done. This sounds pretty to me. Sonorous, organic and and full in the lows in particular.

Listening to the demos, I wasn’t crazy about the oboe. What do you think? I also thought the clarinet sounded pretty good.

Sounds nice.
Rob, is there a reason you would you use these instead of your usual VSL winds?
