Re: Spectrasonics Trilian 1.5 released
I dl’d the Trilian update last night and after working through some stupid user errors, got it installed. Very nice! There’s some fun stuff and it’s totally manageable, but am I the only one who finds it disconcerting having to navigate a new GUI after being really used to the old one (for over a de...

I didn't buy CSS specifically because of the track delays. I don't want to work that way. I find it annoying in CSSS.

Do I remember that you were enamored of CinePiano, Guy? Sounds quite good and versatile in the walkthrough.

Re: Audio Ollie / Nashville Scoring Strings
Might be age related, but also related to my propensity for skipping large sections of videos where the developer is telling me how fantastic the library is, over and over. Well, right-I certainly expect you to think so, but..umm...wouldn't you be a little biased?? Maybe just let us figure it out in...

Re: Audio Ollie / Nashville Scoring Strings
The shorts, the trills, the tremolos, the pizzicatos and the harmonics all sound great to me, particularly the pizz. Very dramatic col legno as well. I doubt if there's an agile legato in there. The tone of the legatos is good if maybe a tiny bit flat. I don't think the amount of vibrato is going to...

Thanks, both of you.
Guy, that impulse pack is pretty huge-4.8 GB! I was surprised.
In your opinion, how does the Wave verb compare with the native Cubase convolution verb?

I completely agree as to the fluidity of phrasing. It’s why I continue to believe in a hybrid sampling/modeling approach.

Re: Spitfire @ Abbey Road !/?
@Tanuj “So, there is an argument about how useful some of this stuff is, who can actually run it as an intended use and what is the library designed for?” You might be interested by the fact that this question also applied to early EW libraries like EWQLSO. I bought it way back in the day (I believe...

Re: Straight Ahead upright for $22
I’m ok with being a sole and shameless collector of $22 libraries
I didn’t “need” it, but for the price I was willing to take a flyer. You have to buy a lot of disappointing $22 libraries to equal one disappointing $300 library-and I have a few of those.

Is this a thing already? Am I the last to know (as usual)? Extremely low/no latency on decent wired Internet connections, good collaborative software, actual remote recording, free (for now)??

Re: Straight Ahead upright for $22
Trying it out solo, I think it's pretty good-worth the $22. The key will be how it sounds in a track, though.
