Re: Impact Soundworks Jazz Horns
If you want mellow Sam's does that well and you get a lot more stuff though not as much detail, still for me this does not raise the bar sonically.

Re: Vengeance Producer Suite - Avenger synth
Here's the drums. To me, this is golden - a simple, easy to use step sequencer integrated into the drum software, so its easy to change everything from effects to pitch to anything on a note by note basis. What he doesn't mention in the video is that there will also be provision to route every elem...

It seems it is geared to brooding but you can do beautifully positive and subtle music with it too.

Re: Impact Sound Works / 'Django' Gypsy Jazz Guitar
Thanks guys! back on topic I'm a bit torn about this I guess in the way string players probably did not like when samples came out but there are few Gypsy Jazz sessions to begin with anyway and this certainly will make people, at least composers more aware of the genre. I'd say don't get because it ...

Re: Spitfire retire BML Brass, introduce Symphonic Brass
It is increasingly difficult to remain a sidiously devoted Spitfire fan if they keep abandoning older products and bundlng them in new "all in" formulas, leaving the originals unattended. For example, a while ago I bought the BML Reeds vol. 1 (clarinets and oboes). A clearly unfinished an...

Re: Here we go Spectrasonics.
I've been reading everyone's views with a great deal of interest. I haven't got any piano preferences--yet. What do you think would be the advantages of diving in with Keyscapes? Patrick Lots of very good sounding pianos and various keyboards organized in one place with a superior processing engine...

Re: Here we go Spectrasonics.
I think a lot of companies (including me) are a little nervous about what exactly is going to be announced. NI doesn't want to hear that Spectrasonics is building a sampler. No DAW company wants to hear that Spectrasonics is entering their game. And sample library developers don't want to hear that...

I wonder what the bump was in Spirit celling cd's from this. I bet a lot of younger people didn't know they existed.

I like the violin but the concept is not fully proven till they come out with the other arts. I bought into the violin but until I see how it plays out will not purchase the cello.

Re: NI Symphonic Series / Woodwinds
I think the price point for NI users is great...As compared to VSL or BWW, I had a hard time getting through the walk throughs, I found the legato transitions annoying.

I have been pleased with Cinematique Instruments in the past. This is not a must have for me, but when a special hits I'll pick it up, looks very useful.
