Re: Falcon 1.6 released
Falcon is pretty easy to get into, I would say. Just watch all Dan Worrall videos on UVI's Youtube channel and you're well equipped with knowledge to lose yourself in its depths for a long time, and just keep exploring.

Re: Impact Soundworks updates the Pearl Concert Grand to 2.0 - flash sale for $79
Nabeel noticed you're using continuous pedal, and on those last notes it's a rather slow release on it, so the code was adjusted so that continuous pedal doesn't release things faster than the actual release time of ADSR. Should help.

Or... did you by any chance disable repedalling? Seems we found a buglet there (envelope release isn't working when repedalling is disabled).

By the way, default patch, or one of factory snapshots? Or your own settings? How's release set on the Response page? And on Advanced page, what's the volume for sustained and pedalled releases? Feel free to tweak there.

Care to post a MIDI file for that example so we can take a closer look at it?

Not that I recall. K5 was a part of Komplete since Komplete 8 till today, K5.6 was not a paid update, you just got it with K10/11.Guy Rowland wrote: ↑May 29, 2018 6:16 pmWell you're the guru, but I'm pretty sure it was only K10 or K11 that had a voucher for Kontakt 5.6 or something, wasn't it?

Re: Native Instruments Session Strings Pro 2 & Komplete 12 rumours/leak [now inc TRK-01]
I'm not so positive. For such a long-awaited update there will likely be more than one battery of beta tests (as in, several builds would need to be tested, and that could be anywhere from 2 to x), and there's usually a month or two of testing per build... I don't see K12 out this year, but that's j...

Re: Steinberg announces "VST2 is coming to an end"
Yeah I think all the non-Steinberg users are not going to be too bad off. Hell, Reaper and Sonar still support DirectX plugins, haha. VST2 is not going anywhere. Kinda like MIDI.

Re: Steinberg announces "VST2 is coming to an end"
There's no MIDI learn, you have to announce each MIDI CC as an automatable parameter in order to "hack it in". Which, for something like Zebra, is kinda horrid, because Zebra recognizes the originating MIDI channel, so you'd need to reserve 16*128 automation parameters JUST for MIDI learn....

Re: Steinberg announces "VST2 is coming to an end"
It'd be nice if Steiny didn't butcher certain good things VST2 had, like MIDI learn and support for Program Change etc.

Re: Prophet X
I was a bit tongue in cheek on that one. Dunno, somehow 8dio's sampling never impressed me. I can't quite put my finger on it. To me it feels like the better part of Tonehammer went to Soundiron, not 8dio.

Re: Prophet X
It's not fully sample based, it has digital (DSP) oscillators as well (like those in Prophet-12). The filters sound absolutely yummy on this one. But yeah it only has 150 GB of samples because 8dio cannot sample things efficiently, haha.

Re: UVI Falcon 1.5 and Workstation 3 updates
UI refreshes just aren't the most important thing in Reaper - I think it's designed in a way to never drop out audio as much as it's possible, UI and everything else be damned. (That would be the "upside" Guy is mentioning.)
