Some Good News from NYC

Post by wst3 »

The Power Station, aka Avatar Studios was one of the last purpose built, large space commercial recording studios in New York City. That alone is pretty scary. And then recently there was talk of shutting it down - there is just no way to keep it commercially viable. Still, it would be a huge loss!

Turns out some folks felt that way too - Berklee College of Music and the City of New York are partnering to keep the studio open, as a commercial facility, and bring Berklee to NYC! Win Win Win!

Here's the STORY

That's really good news, Bill. Thanks!I hadn't heard.

I was lucky enough to record horns at Avatar in 2015. Great space.
