Native Instruments Sale Extravaganza

It seems that a slight boo-boo was made by an NI website developer earlier today.

Apparently, someone managed to create a site wide 66% discount on everything, including hardware, you know, as you do.

Of course, when word of this got out, there appears to have been a slight spike in sales, and it seems they have sold all the hardware they had. And then some.

And also rather a lot of products from third party developers, which might be a little embarrassing, if not expensive.

Apparently, Urs from U-He confirmed that this was not intentional. He managed to find the perfect adjective to describe the event. It was, he said, a fuckup.

I'm sure there is going to be much wailing and gnashing of teeth. I advise all canny investors to move rapidly into Popcorn shares, which are likely to spike upwards during the inevitable public Enquiry at VI-C.

The pricing error sale was never available for US customers. (Most of us were asleep when it occurred anyway.) It makes sense that Native Instruments would refuse to sell hardware at a loss. I'm not surprised to see them honor the software sales, but they may have to make some amends to their third-party partners.
