Had no trouble with ASIO in Cubase 10.5.
It’s VST3 only.
A CPU devoring cycles for snacks piece of code.
But I have a very old I7 and Ztt (see what I’ve done, here?) is supposed to be optimized in the for… well the fut… err, somewhere down the line.

Re: Arturia Pigments 3
I like Pigments too. UI is well laid out though I do concure with what Guy said (as usual) : not as evident to program as it 1st looks. But nothing unsurmontable. Soundwise, it works magic... until’ I compare it to Hive 2 (Pigments 2, at least). Hive is more rounded, beaffier, less fizzy. One never ...

Thanx a lot Piet - I forgot, shame on me !Piet De Ridder wrote: ↑Dec 02, 2020 1:00 pm There's a trace of Richard Strauss in this one, I thought. Probably not consciously or intended, but the chromaticism in the lines and the harmonies have a bit of "Till Eulenspiegel" in them.

Satin : the exemples with former Alphaville frontman on the u-he site is, well... I cannot hear any noticeable differences. My bad... Hive 2 is great but much more complex than the 1st iteration. But girl, those basses... Compared to Pigments I’ve tested at the same time months ago, it’s a whole lev...

Re: Black Friday Post Mortem - How'd You Do?
This Mr Blaney's composition is stratospheric.
For the most scholars among you : who could be the inspiration behind this track ?
I'm always thinking Ravel, with Blaney but it's just that my knowledge is thin.

Re: Strezov Afflatus / 50% off until Dec. 1st
I just listened to a crazy YT strings comparison (53 libs!!!) and lan, these Afflatus are amongst my favorites !
It’s a « long strings » short demo with the protocole thoroughly explained.
Too bad it’s still out of my budget, especially before christmas. SAD! as my favorite villain would write.

Re: Spitfire Audio: The Ton 4 day deal
In all The Ton feels like a typical Spitfire experience. Wildly over-hyped and loads of pointless bloat, but with some real pearls in there too.

I understand what you mean, Geoff.
It seems some are disappointed of how it sounds. One is talking about the possibly bad idea of just recording soloist.

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)
Doesn’t seem to have much love for MSB on VI Control... But it is said over there that violas in Lass3 will be same samples as Lass2. Don’t have Lass but always liked it, based on different tests and comparisons. With Albion One, SCB and SSS, EWQLSO and Symphobia I don’t have any equivalent on my HDs.

Just as Mickeybabe, I wanted to buy it since day one but not at its regular price, as it’s for sheer hobbyist fun.

It’s exactly what Spitfire should have done with their various specialty string libs. Really interesting.

Thanx Guy. There’s also Bias... I must say that at these pricing (over 150€) I’m still not sure if I’ld rather get a Boss Katana. Really I have no clue. May be I should go check on the interweb if GR6 is an improvement over GR5, as updating from K12U to K13U is 380’ish€. Not sure I like overdriven s...
