I actually like what East West did. Rather than start all over again with a load of HOOPLA, they went HOOPUS. 95% same good samples, 5% shiny and new samples all in a better player and simplified instrument structures. They could have still done more with scripting and unified patches - maybe there...

One more observation just to be ready for it - Spitfire have a long and rich history of making modular libraries that vanish when all the modules are finished, and it all gets wrapped in a single unified product. BML is the most obvious, but Sable was sold as something people might want to just own...

You're quite right. Imagine someone doing "sampling" like this to an instrument like a riq or a bodhran or even a djembe. People would see the problem there because they know there is a performance practice and just hitting the drum at various velocities doesn't cover what the players act...

If you say, I want an affordable and realistic orchestral package for basics and don't need a lot of individual sections and articulations. I would recommend this one over Projectsam OE, Cinesymphony lite, The Orchestra, UVI Orchestral Suite etc.

I have most of its competitors. It's obvious OT checked them out and tried to offer something more.

In my opinion Aaron Sapp achieved the perfect string sound of large ensembles with this library. If he considers recording more articulations like legato, pizzicato, tremolo etc. for an expansion or Trailer Strings 2, this library can be a game-changer for me.
