Re: Orchestral Tools TIDES: Chamber Orchestra from Rachel Portman
I am enjoying the library, it sits comfortably where other libraries don’t. I have mostly messed with strings. I have placed them on some tracks and they worked seamlessly. They play pretty well under my fingers.

Re: Musical Sampling / The Upright
Thanks again Piet for doing the heavy lifting. You are probably way more detail conscious than I am, probably why I always enjoy listening to your music. I am often "that sounds good enough let's move on". I figure if it is good enough for me it probably will be for "most" people unless I am doing a ...

Re: Musical Sampling / The Upright
Thanks for doing all this Piet, I don't mind the MS bass tone but of course there is more room in it which an AC Bass does not need and probably made it tougher to program the legatos. Example 2 is not quite fair as all the notes need to be earlier in the MS Bass's part to create a decent ...

Re: Musical Sampling / The Upright
I like the slides. Tonewise, not better than the Premiere to me. I think in general libraries recorded pulling notes from performances suffer a bit tone wise in exchange for fluidity. Of course also sequencing with them has the drawback of the notes coming in a tiny bit late which you have to ...

Re: Black Friday tips
I bought the Ronroco, the last of the Red Room Audio fiddles that I didn't already have May I ask which one that is? I picked up their Gypsy fiddle. Already had the Celtic and Bluegrass versions. They get major props for capturing the sounds and styles of the Celtic and Bluegrass fiddlers. I'm not ...

Re: Audiobro Eternity: Adult Choir
I have had a chance to mess with it some and it is very cool. Legato phrasing is excellent and the word builder is about as intuitive as one can be if you are into that kind of thing. I did not mess with epic so no idea how punchy it is there. Tons of options but you can still get a work flow ...

I love a lot of my SF stuff but the second Paul played a fast run I was transported back to the 90's (unfortunately my body remains in 2023). I'll give these a chance as I see a more detailed walk through but not excited by this first look.

Re: NI / Strezov sale inc Afflatus for 60% off
HS has very usable ports I can send a demonstration but since you have them I would think you are covered. Besides the sound the great thing in Afflatus is the execution of the poly legato which makes mocking up or composing easier. Yes Lass has it but I think they are executed a bit better here ...

Re: Spitfire Albion Colossus
This has always been the way with sample libraries and of course many other things. Giga studio was the first 3rd party plugin that could use a computer, they are gone. Garriton was the first to do RR's (well he did two) he is gone. VSL the first to do Legato, they are still here. Audio Bro was the ...

Re: Spitfire Albion Colossus
Here in the US my loyalty discou design nt and intro pricing bring it down to $289. On the one hand that is a pretty decent discount. On the next hand I think the design is pretty clever, two different sizes of the same orchestra could be really cool, and really useful. On the third hand, Homay's ...

Re: Virharmonic Bohemian Cello v4 released (not UVI)
Guy, I know we are both big fans of the violin but in the demos I hear of the cello the vibrato seems too much often for say using as a first chair (the violin functions very well in that capacity). Wondering what your experience is with this. I have Tina and the new Intimate Cello (which does not ...

Re: Realitone / Nightfall (Hybrid/Organic Strings)
I am a bit biased as Mike is just a good dude but this is one of those libraries for at least what I do I hope people will kind of ignore it so I can keep it for myself. That's not exactly fair as it is very malleable so it is easy to roll your own. Working on a Warner project and it fits like a ...
