You're right about Dominus, Guy. This looks like a very useful choir library. Missed this one! Not sure I'm in the market for one, but I like what I hear.

Re: Incoming / Expressive E 'Osmose'
I've been waiting for this release. Ahh, if only it had a ribbon!
Hopefully it will be well received and then they'll add at least an octave to the keyboard.

Re: Musical Sampling / Barker Clarinet
Good points and well taken. I do agree that having this vibrato approach will make the samples appear more musical and alive. Using it in the right setting will be key. .

Re: Musical Sampling / Barker Clarinet
This sounds very promising! A few questions though.
Do all samples have the vibrato? That could be a bit frustrating if so, depending on style of music.
I wonder if it gets into the p dynamic. The Emotional track doesn't seem to get that soft.
But it's only 39!

Sunset Strings is a refreshing take on a string library that will get some good use here. And sonically it sounds great!

Re: Orchestral Tools: Berlin Woodwinds Revive
Curious how the (4) original instruments that they are keeping are able to match the new content.
Did they record with all of the mic positions back in 2012 and just not use them?
Also the new attack options, etc., did they do another recording session?
Full of questions....lol

The R4 is a refined version of the R2, incorporating the newer features Michael has added to his other products. It certainly has a beautiful sound to it.

Re: SPAT 2 announced
I see. OK, maybe the issue that's confusing is that when I have my inputs post-fader in ProTools I am actually hearing the direct signal from two sources when the fader is up, due to the bussing of the input channel to the appropriate stem, which is left over in my template I used pre SPAT. To solve...

Re: SPAT 2 announced
The issue with having it post-fader the way you feel it should be is the way that the spatialization works, from my understanding, is you have two elements when introducing audio into Spat. You have the direct/Source signal and the room reflections based on where the direct/Source signal lives in th...

Re: SPAT 2 announced
I have my instruments running into Spat pre-fader to allow all of the stage positioning to be handled within Spat. If I was not pre-fader, I would have direct plus the stage positioned version of the direct signal plus the ER room., so that would not work. All my balancing happens via midi in my DAW...

Re: SPAT 2 announced
Regarding multiple stem output for film mixes and the use of Spat, this is what I currently do in ProTools. I have 6-8 instances of Spat, one for each of my stems for the orchestra (Strings-WWs-Brass, etc.) I send the corresponding sound sources (pre-fader) to these channels and buss them to my stem...

Udo, This library has no legato patches, correct?
How successful have you been using the IRCAM lib in conjunction with another library, say Berlin WW or VSL WW for example?
Thanks for your thoughts

Re: Fable Sound BBB 48 hours 48% off
BBB has a great vibe to it for jazz/big band/pop music. It's "rough around the edges" concept makes it work really well in these styles. Orchestral stuff is not it's forte. I also agree with Piet and others regarding updates to the existing library. The dynamic crossfading is seriously lac...

Plus 1 for Exponential Audio verbs. R2 is an awesome sound for orchestral work. It works really well with SPAT also.

This could be an alternative to the Ocean Way plug in for UAD2. Could be useful for Sample Modeling stuff as well. Hmm......??
