Re: Fluffy Audio / Cartoon Maestro
Hello Guys! Thank you so much for your kind words! This library was a really a fun project to work with, but maybe the longest project that we'd worked on, because it was like more than 20 days in a recording studio with lots of different musicians, and an almost endless quantity of articulations an...

Re: Fluffy Audio / Jazz Bass
Lawrence! Wait :D The main pizzicato articulation features basically 5 dynamic areas: when you play a note, the instrument randomizes the velocity a bit (in a way that is smart enought not to trigger the same sound two times in a row) to use the neighbouring velocities as round robins. So even if yo...

Re: Fluffy Audio / Jazz Bass
Thank you guys! We had so much fun filming that "fake" performance. The players actually play that song and the piano part in the piece is performed by the pianist. The story of this instrument is that we were sampling it with our friend Flavio Cangialosi for a completely different project...

Re: VSL Synchron Elite Strings (Chamber Ensemble)
May I guess a thing? When creating digital musical instruments there are basically two main approaches: recreating the instrument or recreating a perspective of the instrument. IMHO VSL, AudioModeling, SampleModeling are masters at recreating instruments. No personality whatsoever. Pure instruments....

Re: Fluffy Audio / Jazz Drums - Brushes
Hello guys! Thank you for the interest! The sweeps are not synced to the DAW. You can either map to a key a certain sweep/speed or map to a key the variable speed articulation for the sweep and then use the slider to change it. The included grooves use the first method (but they are thought to match...

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)
vi-control dead at the time of writing. A few weeks ago we've been proposed to sample an orchestra. The project wasn't anything revolutionary, in my opinion, and the main goal was to do a library to rule them all with a competitive price. We've kindly rejected the idea. An idea which would have been...

Re: Chick Corea
I remember a beautiful afternoon here in Barcelona when he paid a visit to the conservatory, talked and played with the students. It was a beautiful moment and I was struck by his suggestion to a piano player who was practicing Mozart. She was performing it well, but it was a bit meachanical and he ...

Re: Fluffy Audio / "Fluffy Friday" (up to 80% off, storewide)
Thank you guys! Covid had slowed a bit our ability to produce "themed" libraries, but this is the direction that we'd like to follow for our future project. Spaghetti Western came out from a conversation with the audio engineer we worked with (Stefano Castagna) and so I can't wait for the ...

Re: Native Instruments Stradivari solo violin
For the sake of clarity here's my recent post from vi-control: Hello guys, Few days ago we had a very nice Skype call with Mattia and Leo from Audiozone studios. If you are wondering who they are, they are the guys who started this project five years ago. As I said, organizing such a thing in Italy ...

Re: Native Instruments Stradivari solo violin
Finally it is out. I remember the free ad press in Italy and the world when they did the sampling. It was sold as a "preservation project" to save the sound of these instruments that are going to disappear. Really? How lovely. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/17/arts/music/stradivarius-soun...

Reposting from vi-control: Here's a teaser of something we've been working on for several months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG-6muuUgOg Here are a few of the demos for this library. Also we think that this library may be a really interesting option for anyone who is just interested in a few of...

This is also disconcerting for the developer who spent money to NI for licensing those libraries.

Another perspective: what if the library is done by this new developer and the IPad interface is actually Camelot Pro, developed by AudioModeling?

Re: Coming soon: Fluffy Audio 'Venice' / Modern Chamber Strings
Hello Guys! Thank you for your kind words! I'm actually exporting a video now to show some articulations alone and so on. I'm quite thrilled about this release and a bit confused, because we worked so hard on this thing with 114000 samples. I'm quite confident about the most of the important things,...

Re: Coming soon: Fluffy Audio 'Venice' / Modern Chamber Strings
Damn that does sound lovely. Any chance of those demos naked, paoling? I hear some splendid molte vibrato here and there. Thank you Guy! Thank you Jay! I have something more fun than a naked demo: there are two classical pieces that Olmo is patiently mockupping. One of them is the Adagetto from the...

Piet is right! These are chamber strings (8-5-5-5-3 to be exact)! We perfectly know that this video doesn't say anything more than "oh, there are some strings from FluffyAudio coming soon". But we also took the chance to create something beautiful, which I hope this video is a bit. The vid...

Re: Spitfire introduces their Studio Series with Spitfire Studio Strings
I believe that there's a "marketing" problem about that. I suspect that many libraries have pure detachè bowings, but for some reason they are called legato. Because Legato in the sampling world means "a sampled transition between two notes" while in the actual musical world is a...
