I hear you Bill. I have mixed feelings as well but I must say that Pigments is truly awesome, soundwise as well as workflow-wise.
And yes, a Kawai K5 VST would make my day, any day.

Re: Arturia Pigments 5 released
Nice update, Pigments have been my "go to" the last few months. The GUI works very nice with a multitouch 21" monitor.

Re: UAD $39 sale
I think I sold my UAD PCIe card at the exact right time. Got enough money to buy the Arturia FX Collection as well as the Eventide Anthology Collection and an SSL UC1. Been picking up the native UA versions for €22 the last few weeks. Today it was Studer time! If you buy from UA directly you get a €...

Re: SSL G3 MultiBusComp
Tried this (sort of) a while back with Studio One's splitter and 3 instances of SSL's Native Bus Compressor, but went back to Softubes 1973.
This is a lot less "fiddly"
I really like the looks of the SSL plugins though!

Re: Softube / Model 80 (Prophet 5 emulation)
Had a hunch they'd do this but like Jay I'm all too happy with Repro-5. Wondering what their Model 90 would be? Virus? Nord? MS2000? JD8000?

Re: Waves go subscription only (and back again)
On a side note there was an upside to this, Solid State Logic took a few of their plugins that was only available in their subscription model and made them available to buy or rent-to-own.

Re: East West Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra Strings
I think it comes down to this. Are we here to learn something? Or are we here to support our club, or friends or whatever? I learned a lot from forums in the past. I have every right and actually a responsibility because I actually have everyone’s interest at heart, to say something in this case. I...

Re: Are You Waiting for something Interesting to show up in Dec. ?
I wasn't looking or waiting for something special but the last week I bought these: • Invigorate, Newfangled Audio • RePitch, SynchroArts • Kirchhoff EQ, Three Body Tech And they all kind of adress the same thing, for me at least. Workflow. Invigorate just "works" and is superfast to setup...

Indeed strange, for me it halts for a second when connecting for the first instance, then it simply loads as if it was local/iLok.

Never had any issues with iLok and now with VSL it's the first time for me using the cloud, no problems so far.
Assistant is very nice indeed.

The Upright Bass, liked that one. Great little sketch tool.
Epic orchestra, the only "keeper" in there is the cornet I believe, haven't made up my mind on the rest of it.

Yes, the have really thought of everything it seems.
I ended up buying Synchron Strings Pro, great sound and the workflow with Synchron Player and Studio One is amazingly good, fast and enjoyable even!

If you have downloaded the new ones (iLok) then there is an option in Vienna Assistant to delete eLicenser libs.

Re: Elicenser Discontinued Jan 1 2022
So... Got myself on a spending spree. Upgraded my VI SE 1 & 2 to the Synchronized ones and I'm sort of blown away! The workflow of these libraries in Studio One with the Synchron player automatically populating the sound variations with the correct articulations is such a HUGE timesaver! Almost ...

Re: Cherry Audio Polymode (Polymoog) $19
I have no history with the Memorymoog whatsoever, only read about it. I got it now for $19 and it's a different beast isn't it? I really like the architecture of the signal path and the mixer "sends" from the various places in the chain makes editing it really fun. The most fun I've had fo...

Re: Audiobro LASS 3
Very surprising but very welcome! I've made mine easy to use as well but it would be nice to have ALL the sections on the same MIDI channel and (hopefully) setting up some clever Studio One Sound Variations to turn the different sections on/off. I suspect that the update for LASS 2.5 owner's will si...

Chipsynth OPS7
Famous 80s FM synth It's loud! It's brash! It's digital! It's the edgy sound of Yamaha's 6-op FM synths, now perfectly emulated by chipsynth OPS7 in a convenient plugin format! Let it take over your tracks as it took over the airwaves with a storm in 1983. Open the flood gates to a deluge of crisp ...
