Never heard of the Elgato Stream Deck, now I'm really interested...
Does it automatically switch keys depending on which application is in front or is it "omnipresent"?

Re: Cinematic Studio Brass ... soon ....
As for anything dark I just sprinkle with some distorsion and add some Clariphonic. Works real nice with CSB as well.

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off
Well, space of course. Put the instruments in context and I doubt I would hear much difference and if I did I don't think I'd care enough to use 24-bits anyway.
That said, I'd never use sub-par cables for any of my hardware synths though

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off
That particular ALSC can happen if you repeatedly activate and deactivate the different articulations. I first got upset when the bassoons stopped short after trilling and when the clarinets stopped after a crescendo. It seems to me that there is something funky (in a bad way) going on when activati...

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off
Well, I like it, a lot! Ditching the 24-bit samples saves about 40+ GB so that was a no-brainer. The key switching takes a bit getting used to but it is actually quite clever, everything is very adaptable I feel, you can set it up as you wish. The runs are great. The sound is very good. The default ...

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off
Haha! Well, I have actually managed to hang on to the "old" Wallander Instruments WIVI Woodwinds Library, until now. I was in need of solo instruments that can be a bit more exposed than WIVI. Don't get me wrong, WIVI is great (and light on RAM and CPU) but it is a bit "thin" reg...

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off
Since I'm on a sort of "woodwind hunt" I bought the extended version after viewing the overview video. Still downloading... I find the keyswitch implementation to be quite refreshing, and you can setup 3 "direct" switches to your own liking. The runs seems really well implemented...

Re: BF/CM Ultimate Acquisitions
I've tried to keep my cool this year and only got Oeksounds Soothe and Cableguys Volume Shaper. But now that Softube is going into "the end of year sale" I bet I'll finally pickup the American Class A any day now.

Re: Falcon 1.6 released
Thanks Jaap! It's not so much a "need" as a "lust" actually. I don't mind learning new stuff but I probably have every synth I could possibly need already. I like hardware though and with the latest addition, a Yamaha TG33 (finally!), I think I'm done with synths :) Well, for thi...

Falcon is on sale now as well with 30% off and you can add 2 free expansions of your choice (and also the 100 euro voucher is included). That is a heck of deal :D OUCH!!! I've always looked at Falcon with lust in my eyes... Right now I don't have the money, but it's a good deal to say the least. I ...

Re: Softube / NI bundle sale up to 75% off
I shall not argue to much Guy (since I agree with most of what you say), but I think that if YOU were to buy a compressor for $1000 I believe you knew what you were buying and that would indeed get you further than 0.1% on your scale. The old mantra "It's not the tools, it's how you use them&qu...

Re: Softube / NI bundle sale up to 75% off
You have that right! Modular - even the base configuration - is a HUGE TIME SOAK. I removed it from my template for the time being because I wouldn't get anything done. I am definitely still in schoolboy mode! Haha! Reading this and the rest I believe we have a lot in common... (I've cut a few were...

Re: Softube / NI bundle sale up to 75% off
Yes, the sound. It's smooth and "slow" and distorts in a nice way if you push it a tad. Plus the workflow, 2 knobs and that's it

Re: Softube / NI bundle sale up to 75% off
Well as the Softube "fanboy" I've become lately I must say that upgrading from Vol 1 to Vol 2 was a no-brainer. To answer your initial questions Guy I'm sorry to say that I use neither of Modular or Heartbeat. Haven't even started Modular because I believe it's a black hole that will suck ...

Re: Adagietto Flash Sale - $48 until the 1st of July
Well, it will never be my "go to" string library, that position is still held firmly by CSS. The dynamic bowings (in TimeMachine mode) are nice and the sordinos as well. Apart from that I'm not that impressed actually. It won't stay in full on the SSD drive, that's for sure... Would I buy ...
