Re: CES & NAMM
With all the internet resources, these days I really only go to NAMM to see people, not products.

I don't go anymore. I miss the excitement of the old days, but not the noise and the bad food.

I'd like to see NI's Maschine being turned into a competetive DAW, but that's hardly going to happen. Being located in Germany near Frankfurt/M, I'd rather go to Musikmesse in April.

Keith McMillen K-mix
Could be a intersting midi controller, but seems priced omn the high side for what it is ($599 u.s.)

I'm hoping to see new smart midi controllers (hopefully from Novation) that take things a step further than Kontrol and Advance did.
Also looking forward to whatever Spectrasonics has up their sleeves.

IF anyone is attending NAMM and can stop by the Spitfire booth and report back it is greatly appreciated.

5 major (and they mean major!) product announcements, huh? I wonder if they consider volume 2 releases across their brass and woodwinds ranges "major." If not, I think that will solidify my perception of their business strategy.

I think the partnership with Olafur Arnalds will continue.

So far I think the thing I'm most charmed by is the new Arcade Pocket Operator from the Teenage Engineering folks. Their OP-Z seems like it'll be clever when it's ready, but it also seems a lot less satisfying than the OP-1 as a simple tactile sketchpad.
