iZotope Tonal Balance 2 - FREE until May 26

I am a BIG fan of this. I have it permanently on my master bus. Don't let it be the boss of you, but I do find it's really helpful at correcting ear fatigue, or when you just get used to the sound you are building without a frame of reference. In my experience it's best used on the part of the song / cue where most is going on.

Personally I prefer it to A/B mix testers, because it's visual it's unobtrusive.

First time it has ever been free.

Ooh, very nice indeed and highly recommended from me as well. Use it just like you do, Guy. I also imported reference curves for soundtracks I particularly like and reference. I tried several A/B tools as well, this stick to my master bus like glue as well!

Same here. Always on the master bus. For free it's a no brainer. They probably are about to bring version 3. With the free version they might get customers for the usually pretty steep upgrade price. Just a suspicion.

Man did I want this, but it theoretically won’t work on my old Monterey. Might download and take a chance just in case. Great find anyway!

Larry, I was using it on Monterey on my old Intel MacPro before upgrading just two months ago. In fact, it still works. So unless I'm on an older version, it should be fine. Or t least worth a try, especially if it gets you a discounted upgrade price in the future.

...and....success. I had to jump through a few hoops, mostly self inflicted pain (WHY didn't I have the right password??) with authorization, but I'm there.

However, it turns out that my older version of Music Production Suite wouldn't allow me to load any plugins to use as a "source" as Izotope calls it. My loyalty deal upgrade would cost $199, updating me to Ozone 11 Advanced among other doodads. It turns out that free can be expensive!

Ah, but there's the "Summer of Sound." Time to upgrade my Komplete 12 to K15 for the same price, and Ozone Standard will be included. Such a deal!

...and I'll probably go for it, but before I do I'll have to update my Mac from my beloved Monterey which has been very solid for me.

Tech is great. It's fun. It's also time consuming and absolutely maddening far too often, and you kids get off my lawn.
