Lexicon PCM finally gets VST3 and Apple silicon updates .. it's taken them years to pull their fingers out on this, and I suspect most on newer Macs or DAWs will have swapped out Lexicon plugins for something else by now (I certainly have), but I guess better late than never.
An added bonus is that the two iLok licenses can now be iLok dongle or machine based.
You'll need Flux control to download and install.

My original Lexicon files are dated 2014, but I think the previous version is actually older than that. Anyway, miracles never cease. I’m not sure what took so long, but I am looking forward to using these plug-ins again. I did find the download procedure a little more convoluted than it needed to be though.

Agreed. a MIRACLE!!! whew. And i lived long enough to see it. Another miracle
Re: Lexicon PCM finally gets VST3 and Apple Silicon updates..
You mean through the Flux Center, Frank? Other than the surprise (due to my forgetfulness on the matter) of Flux Distributing it, I find their Downloader one of the cleanest and easiest to use. What I'm not keen, like probably most here, is to have yet another. So consolidation or direct links for me are best.playz123 wrote: ↑May 21, 2025 1:12 am My original Lexicon files are dated 2014, but I think the previous version is actually older than that. install was straightforward for me, now in Cubase I have the new ones each in its own sub-folder and the older ones in an "Other" folder. Don't know how much I'll be using them but it's nice to have them updated
Re: Lexicon PCM finally gets VST3 and Apple Silicon updates..
Yes. The small challenges probably arose because I didn’t have a Flux account previously, and the Harmon site was a bit vague about what to do. Nothing worrisome, though…I eventually figured out what I needed to do and once I had a Flux account and then had it linked to iLok account and then logged back in to Flux again, I eventually found where to download the files. I expect, that next time, if there is another need to use Flux, things should go far more smoothly.Luke wrote: ↑May 21, 2025 10:44 amYou mean through the Flux Center, Frank? For those who have yet to start the process, if you start by installing the Flux app, the splash screen will greet you with the instructions you need to follow to complete the process. These include creating a Flux account, if you don’t already have one, and linking your iLok account with Flux. Then, it’s a simple matter to download and install the update(s) from the Flux app, which also offers you a couple of freebies, if you’re interested.
I’m not thrilled to have another installer to contend with, but I’m grateful to finally have updates for this classic Lexicon software. Like many others, I had given up on this ever happening.
Best,
Geoff

Interesting (for me anyway), Final Cut Pro doesn't like the Audio Units version of these plugins. Anyone tested them yet in Logic Pro and did they pass Validation? I'm currently on a computer with only Cubase installed.

Logic 10.8.1 (Rosetta mode) on an M1 MBP with Ventura 13.7.4 - the new Lexicon suite validates on my system.
Re: Lexicon PCM finally gets VST3 and Apple Silicon updates..
I was finally able to check this out on my M4 Mac Studio with OS 15.5 and the latest version of Logic Pro and I’m pleased to report the plug-ins were validated successfully. Not sure why Final Cut Pro doesn’t like them, but that’s another story for another day, and something that may be of limited concern to most musicians.

My own copy of FCP is also at odds with Logic in which AU plugins it validates. It throws up a long list of those it doesn't like which includes mainstream favourites like Fabfilter and EW Spaces 2. It makes no sense, and the internet has many threads on the topic which remain incomplete and unresolved. It just seems that its a long-standing issue with FCP which Apple hasn't addressed...
