Many people like 'em, I gather, so if you don't have them already, here's your chance (during the next 96 hours): Plugin Alliance has a sale on the Lindell plug-ins whereby you can pick any four of them (*) and they're yours for only $49.99. That's roughly $12.50 per plug-in. There are 14 Lindell plug-ins to choose from.

Use code LA4FOR4999 at checkout.

(*) Excluded from this sale is the Lindell Audio EQ825

I have all of the Lindell plugins, and I use them more than I thought I might. I expected them to be simply Interesting alternatives, but they are so much more.

I guess it depends on what you need, and regularly use...

I really like their compressors, especially the MU-66 and the 7X-500. I also like the 50 series channel strip, but I seem to be on an API kick these days.

They are all really well done "covers" of the associated hardware.

Thanks Bill.

I’m pretty well covered in those areas, so I’ll probably procrastinate until it’s too late :)

about the only 1176 clone that is different enough to be a nice alternative is the Purple Audio MC77, and that applies to both hardware and software. The rest are - or can be - different, but not worlds apart, if that makes sense. In addition to the infamous FET design, I like the dBX 160 for the VCA approach, and the Altec for the variable MU approach. I do like the Manley Variable Mu as well, and a couple others.

It seems to depend entirely on my mood for a day (hmmm... could be a cool song title?)

Equalizers are a different cat entirely, they all sound different, but as far as picking a favorite? More like flavor of the day I'm afraid.

I think you'd likely enjoy them, but you won't beat yourself up for procrastinating either.

Yes … yes it could.

Best,

I have spent an hour or two trying to master this one. I can get through the first section without too many flubs, but it is a challenging piece.
