After working on it for three years, Realitone has finally released Sunset Choir, a Kontakt-formatted choir library. At the moment there's only a temp mono rough walk-through available -- the mono sound is unfortunately not the best way to introduce a choir library --, but there should be a proper walk-through video in a few days. While not officially available for sale yet, I was able to pick up a copy on Saturday.

It is my new favorite choir library, by a long stretch!

Disclaimer - I provided customer and technical support for Realitone until this past spring, so I am obviously at least a little bit biased, but...

The things that stood out during my initial "session" - first and foremost the sound - it sounds magnificent. Mike is really getting the hang of this<G>. It is a shame that particular studio is no longer available, Sunset Strings, Nightfall, and now Sunset Choir all owe part of their sound to the studio.

Just as impressive, the library almost plays itself. I own a couple of big choir libraries, most notably the Eric Whitacre library from Spitfire, and I've struggled with all of them. Mostly I guess I am just not a great choir composer/arranger, but I didn't struggle with Sunset Choir. I didn't need to fuss, it just worked for me (obviously YMMV).

I'll be posting a couple of examples later this week, I need to make sure i show it off in all its glory.

Lastly, and I think this matters, it is fun to work with! It is fun to go exploring all the articulations and features. It will be a while before I can consider myself worthy<G>.

Oh, and Piet - your short demo wasn't entirely responsible for my hesitance to post, but it really is good!

Does its wordbuilder work like Blue?

This is definitely not a wordbuilder instrument, and I kinda regret including the consonants, because they imply that it is. It's not.

Ah, that’s disappointing for me. But good luck with it.

Obviously this is Mike’s library and there is no word builder built in but one can create words with it, maybe not every word but quite a few words. I’m pretty blown away with the sound and depth of the lib.
