Windows 11 / clipboard bug

I’m new to Windows 11. Until last December, I have kept working stubbornly and happily on a Windows XP Pro machine that has been serving me extremely well for over 15 years, but (1) the growing need for a more powerful computer, (2) no longer being able to do essential updates to my graphic design software, plus (3) an increasing frequency of signs that the old computer might crash fatally any day, made me decide to buy a new machine and, inevitably, become a Windows 11 user.

Not a pleasant experience so far (and that’s putting it very kindly), but I’ll manage. Quick question though: does anyone know of a good, permanent solution for the erratic clipboard behaviour in Windows 11? I have it happening (like many other users, it seems) that the clipboard, totally unpredictably and randomly, simply stops functioning. In-cred-dib-ly annoying, that is.
Apparently, it is a well-known bug and there are plenty of suggestions online on what to do, but everything I tried either doesn’t work or is, at best, a short-term solution. I would like something that puts this bug to rest once and for all.

Thanks in advance!

I wish I could help Piet, no problems here.

I'm sure you've looked at it, but a quick Google shows Ditto is a popular 3rd party alt https://sabrogden.github.io/Ditto/

I've been on Windows for my main rig for pretty much forever, went from XP > 2000 > 7 > 10 and now 11. I don't know what the erratic clipboard behaviour you're referring to is as I've either never experienced it or it's been a gradual change in approach over those versions between XP and 11 and I'm used to the current behaviour. At least, I don't recall it being random or simply stop functioning. I would be looking at other things (graphics cards always seem to interfere - sometimes in the most unusual places!) but if other users have reported the same issue without it being connected to RAM/graphics cards, that probably doesn't help.
