Existing users don’t have to pay for it and nobody is forced to sign up for the Creator subscription , although it’s an option.

I’ve been considering my own options regarding Creator subscriptions and still haven’t reached a conclusion. Since I already own paid copies of Logic, Motion and Final Cut Pro, I may just wait a while before deciding. While Apple has made some fairly clear statements about both approaches, some questions remain about enhanced content, and how long and how often stand alone programs will continue to be supported.

I had breakfast with some of the developers last Saturday. They have no plans at least in the near future to no longer allow people not to subscribe and yet still have the latest version.

Thanks for the info and update Jay, useful stuff to know if one depends on Logic.
