Looks cool. The choice of microphones is a bit strange imo. But certainly worth to check out.

Re: Morricone - The Thing
Another thing that sets EM apart imo from a lot of other first class film composers especially the Hollywood ones is that he never cut corners in utilizing the romantic classical history and copying the many 19th and beginning 20th century master scores which kind of was a goto for 20th century ...

Re: iZotope Tonal Balance 2 - FREE until May 26
Same here. Always on the master bus. For free it's a no brainer. They probably are about to bring version 3. With the free version they might get customers for the usually pretty steep upgrade price. Just a suspicion.

Re: Morricone - The Thing
This must be unbelievable interesting. Since I read the fabulous book Ennio Morricone which is basically a long very deep interview, I understood how deeply involved EM was in 20th century new music and it was basically his roots as a composer. Not something you might expect if you only know his ...

How? Layout Options > Page Setup > Flows > Use 'First' page template: Any flow starting at top of page Thank you, that I know already. Hoped for something more easy. Actually, what I'd really love to see is a program that will analyze my playing and derive a tempo map from that. Logic has a feature ...

Re: Steinberg Dorico 6 Released
Changing titles and fonts by double clicking in the score is nice I find. It always felt a bit complicated to search for the right menu especially in the beginning before you become used to the workflow. Changing chord symbols to my liking used to drive me crazy. And being able to use more custom ...

Re: Sleeper libraries or developers
That's sort of what I mean. I have zero doubt that FabFilter's EQ is every bit as good and versatile, likely slightly better but I just don't need it. The more I get into Fabfilter ProQ 4 the more I think it could be the one plugin that replaces all others. It's incredible versatile. Can be used as ...

Re: Need suggestion for percussion libraries
Maybe Steinbergs Backbone might be worth a look. Not exactly a classic percussion sample library but it's astounding what it can do I find. I took a look at it after reading the thread at vi-cntl. You can get it for fee at Plugin Boutique by purchasing any other plugin. So potentially for a couple ...

Re: Plugin Alliance / Saturators $19.99 (one day only)
I got the Silver Bullet during one of there recent sales for a few dollars more. Should have waited as I didn't really use or explore it very much since then. But it certainly does some interesting things. The only other saturator from Plugin Alliance that is outstanding imo or at least I use ...

Re: FabFilter Pro-Q4
Listening to Dan is like having David Attenburough narrating Planet Earth but then for music stuff :D Ha ha- well said. I always wondered why he sounds somehow familiar. Now I know. Pro Q4 seems to be very good. Got the upgrade but no real life use till now. But seems to make Kirchhoff obsolete. We ...

Re: Indiginus Appalachia $49
Judging from the demo tracks this is something I would like to have in the toolbox for sure. Very nice sounding. Have been pointed to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as a reference recently and this reminds me a bit. Budget is low so I have to think what of the recent bf offers make true sense to get ...

Re: Cubase 14 released
Just saw at a Dom Sigalas Video: it's possible to open plugins with a keycommand now. Something I've been searching for since the beginning. Also very useful: set the start time to cursor directly on the ruler track. I mean it's almost like they read my mind what I want. Since I'm fine with ...

Re: Berlin Studio?
It's one of those plugins that very fast become a goto without thinking very much about it.
Need a room for a dry instrument? Throw Berlin Studio at it and adjust to taste. Simple as that. For me at least. Not much not to like about it.

Re: Cubase 14 released
This was the first time since I got my first CB version which was I think 2011 or 12 that I got the update immediately. If the score editor really does what it promises it's a great improvement. The modulators seam to work very well. I just tried a bit and you can connect it to any parameter of e.g ...

I like it. Much. I would nearly have bought it for the loyality price of USD 129 but found out that I actually get a free crossgrade as a Relab VSR24 / Reverb Bundle2 owner. Caveat: I had to create an account to Relabs community website in order to find an explanation how to do the crossgrade. That ...

Panbox became my goto too. It's very simple and everything you need is outlined in an easy understandable way for someone like me who isn't an expert on this kind of things. I also like the super simple gui. The Goodhertz looks good too but seems to demand more knowledge of what it is exactly to be ...

Re: Unique plugins
Markus, I’m using a Mac, so I don’t know if the following info will be of any use: the version of SPATv3 I’m running — which means: loading it in NuGen’s SigMod, because the SPATv3 component file (the AU-plugin) is no longer compatible with LogicPro — is built 3.5.26.46205 and that is a 64-bit relea ...
