It is! Ignore CC is one of the commands, and you can set it for any input.

Re: Musio - latest stuff

Thanks Guy! I've been wondering about standardising a keyswitch octave for my Nanokey. One side question though - the Nanokey doesn't appear to be able to set a default octave, so I need to hit the octave down button a few times whenever I turn stuff on. Have you found a way to either default the ...

Re: Reading up on Reaper

I've watched numerous videos on null test and I've personally done that too but when you stack up a lot of tracks (Synths, sampled instruments, plugins etc.) and work I still feel that Cubase retains the frequencies, and dynamics in a transparent way than any other DAW I've tried. Again, it's ...

Re: Reading up on Reaper

I've worked with Reaper for almost a year. The only thing that bothered me (I might be totally wrong and might be opening a big rabbit hole here) - I preferred the sound of Cubase compared to any other DAW I've used. That's one of the reasons I went back to Cubase. Otherwise, Reaper is a monster and ...

Thanks Guy. I'll check out DM307!

Re: Need suggestion for percussion libraries

Take a listen to the Drumstruck series from The UnFinished (Kontakt-based). They’re a little understated out of the box, but I think you could get some similar sounds. Also, some of his soundsets for various synths. AVA and Keepforest have some similar stuff I believe, although I’m not as familiar. ...

Need suggestion for percussion libraries

Hi all,

I've been wondering how I can create the percussion sounds you hear in this track. Are there any libraries/Synth preset banks in the market that have loops like this that can be tweaked further? Thank you

I don't know what they have done in the code. This is the most analogish algorithmic plugin I've ever used and I can't stop using it. https://www.makebelievestudio.com/mbsi The user manual has an interesting story about this console - https://mhsecure.com/installers/manuals/MBSIUsersGuide.pdf This ...

Re: VILabs / Modern D

I’m having some trouble with SPAT v3 since a few weeks. I’m not sure what started it, some update or other I guess — I have a strong feeling it’s Sonoma (the latest version of Logic + Sonoma is without a doubt the most bug-ridden, unreliable software contraption I’ve ever had to deal with) — but the ...

Re: VIR2 / Mojo Upright Bass

Thanks, srkrishnan! I still prefer the naked content of the Premier — the raw sound and the character of the sampled instrument, I mean — but there's no arguing with the fact that this Vir2 Mojo is a much more advanced, deeper and better Kontakt-library. Compared to the Vir2 Mojo, the Premier is a s ...

Re: 48h Flash-sale (50-60% discounts) over at Klevgrand

Well, on paper, that should have been one of the kits included with Toontrack’s “Elliot Scheiner / State Of The Art” SDX. Scheiner was, after all in part responsible, as co-engineer and mixer, for why “Aja” sounds as fantastic as it does. One of the official “State Of The Art” demos — the first one ...

Thank you so much Piet. Yes I refer to the Jazz kit expansion only. I don't own SD3 yet. I'll definitely checkout the Jazz sessions!

Also do you have any suggestions for kit that sounds like the one in Steely Dan's Aja? Thanks again.

Re: Any strings library that comes close to this sound?

These are sordinos I think, right? VSL Duality sordinos might be a good place to start. They do a 15 day money back thing too if you wanted to trial them properly, something I took advantage of. I though they were excellent, but the HOOPUS emulated sordinos were close enough for my uses. Thanks so ...

Re: Which piano library can sound like this?

I have no idea, I fear. The first few times I listened to this cue, I was actually convinced it was a sampled piano, but since the orchestra is obviously and gloriously real and since these recordings appear to have been done by some of the top people in the business, I’m no longer sure. Whatever i ...
