Re: EastWest Voices of the Empire
I downloaded it yesterday since it was included with the Composer Cloud and played around with it a bit. There's some good sounding stuff in it, and some ok sounding stuff. Maybe i'm just a little burnt out on sample libraries at the moment but i wasn't blown away by it. I got the impression that, l...

Re: Toontrack Superior Drummer 3
I hate to say it because i'm a fan of their products, but it's almost like their previous offerings are too good. I'm still very satisfied with what i already have from them and don't really feel like shelling out another couple hundred bucks will make my life much better. I'd rather just buy more m...

Yea, maybe not the most exciting video, but i do think it's neat that you can watch his videos and see how far he's come.

AIR Studios Live Orchestral Session
Anyone else watching this?
Daniel James is live streaming a recording session at AIR Studios. Been on for a bit now. Kind of fun to get a bit of a behind the scenes look.

Re: Output Platform: A Desk for Composers
For the money it doesn't seem too special to me. I'm sure if you showed a picture of it to a local carpenter they could knock one up for less than half the price? It kind of looks like the whole thing can be built out of one sheet of plywood. Even if you spring for the fancier sanded plywood one sh...

Re: Play 5.0.1 out
I just installed it last nite(PC) and was having a lot of fun with Ohmicide on everything. It seemed to be pretty resource hungry though. I was getting a lot of drop outs and had to increase my buffer size to 256 to avoid it, with just one patch. I'll have to play with it a bit more.

Re: Output: Movement rhythmic fx engine
Thanks Denis - those don't quite look like what i'm after. I need a little step sequencer in there - wonder if anyone has tried this? http://www.alexhilton.net/A1AUDIO/index.php/a1triggergate - hey, it's free and seems to be along the lines I'm thinking of. Will give it a go myself when there's a b...

Re: Your Holiday Hauls
I grabbed a few things today. Got NI's the Giant, didn't really need another piano but i wanted it for the weird other stuffs it does. Also picked up Rise and Hit from them. Project Bravo was hard to pass up at the sale price, so i added that to the ever growing collection. Iris 2 and 8dio's Basstar...
