Re: Native Instruments Summer of Sound 2025 (inc mini reviews)

Yes, the session guitarrist series has saved me a lot of times, world libaries, cremona, lores. All good in my book. I am liking Safron but it doesn’t remember when I change the cc values of the x/y pad after switching to another preset, like starlight does. Today I will start exploring Session P ...

Re: Native Instruments Summer of Sound 2025 (inc mini reviews)

Oh god, Valves Pro, why did I never got this, so much fun to play in ensemble mode, lost an hour that should be used elsewhere.
This and session percussion are worth the upgrade price alone

Re: Spitfire Audio - Ronroco by Gustavo Santaolalla

Thanks!
I was very young and I learned a lot about the craft, but also about classical harmony, voice leading and orchestration. (I think I don’t remember anything of those things now that I am older)

Re: Spitfire Audio - Ronroco by Gustavo Santaolalla

Oooh... I do love the sound of the Ronroco. The other one I have is the Guareschi, which I find to be quite good, as well as inspiring. I reckon with the involvement of Santaolalla this has to be very good. I don´t have the Guareschi, but I hear that is very good. Side note, I took classes with ...

I think that NI should have given Cremona Quartet owners the recorded vibrato, that decision left me with a sour taste

Re: oops! AudioBro 1, Bill 0

Still looking for a strings library that can pull mahler´s 9 begining though Because your clients are clamoring for that?😆 no, it was a way of saying what kind of articulation never works with samples, and then you have to ban it when composing, and it´s a pity. It was that expression or posting a p ...

Re: oops! AudioBro 1, Bill 0

I could never bond with MSS sound, there is some resonance in the room that I cannot un-hear in all the mics that throws me off.
I only use the ostinatos.

And how do they compare to the kontakt ones?
I haven’t been paying too much attention to Musio, and only had cinebrass core back in the day

Re: Omnisphere 2: huge performance improvement for some Windows users

This is golden, I have been using omni less and less in recent time due to a lag of 2 seconds when changing presets. This seems to have fixed that!

Thanks Guy for being on top of it, I gave up years ago with support

Generic remote is going to be disabled in the future and replaced with the midi remote. I have a very complicated setup with generic remotes and logical presets a Dtouch, so I am a bit scared about it.

Re: Cubase 12 announced (...or not)

Local undo, how I miss that...you could undo things independently in each part, say you move a note in a violin midi part, then go to do other things and say, that note move was wrong, you were able to go back to the midi part and undo it, it was perfect!.

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

As I said in VI, I want to like it so much, but not hearing anything I like regarding simple melodies, is it like MSB that the lack of great walkthroughs made people walk away and never come back?

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

I don´t know, I was convinced to buy it, but hearing things I don´t like. I don´t understand how Audiobro leaves the most crucial (and easy to do) demos in the hands of new users. Just a couple of dryish melodies highlighting the legatos, non-legato, note connections. I cannot think that the legato e ...
