Re: Spitfire introduces their Studio Series with Spitfire Studio Strings

Ohhhhh we got the dane in here I haven't kept up with your little sample library adventure, how is that going/turn out? my humble opinion is that there ARE very nuanced articulations for "short" notes. Less in the classical realm, but many of these things can/are articulated by the composer/conducto...

Re: Spitfire introduces their Studio Series with Spitfire Studio Strings

that's actually the first example I've listened to piet, thanks for confirming everything I've already assumed about spitfire releases.

basically, if it's an instrument that produces legato - theres no reason I should pay attention to it.

Re: Spitfire introduces their Studio Series with Spitfire Studio Strings

About Spiccato/Staccato I can confirm that most of professional Italian musicians don't know what "Spiccato" is. String players use the term Balzato (or I believe the French Saute) for the bouncing type of articulation. The fact is that the bouncing is not something that's written on paper, but mos...

that sync mod feature looks like a headache saver if you do produce wobbles.

Re: Orch. Tools Berlin Symphonic Harps Library

Is this the only library that samples the pedals? Maybe it is just a feature that I missed on some other harps, it's so far I've been extremely amused just loading up a chord and whooshing around on it, even though it's still the same sustain patch from when I loaded it up Hopefully tonight I'll hav...

Re: Performance Samples / Con Moto Cellos

I don't think the sound is really all that impressive surprisingly... I really like the tone of Caspian, but yeah - I've got the criticism of the faster reps/shorts. and here is why: why would you pay that much for a legato library? I actually think the performance legato patches from SCS/SSS work b...

Re: CinePiano released ($179)

that said, heres the link: and also that's nice because I was playing around with it, and this time I accidently left the built in reverb(I don't like to stack reverbs often) which explains the weird build up I was hearing this time but didn't earlier when I was playing around with it. I feel like t...

Re: CinePiano released ($179)

that's due largely to my reverb I'd assume. I'll throw up the same example 100% dry(disabling the default reverb from the preset aswell) so that it's completely exposed. but it's quite the compliment that you felt like it was more like a live classical concert - as the particular sound I'm trying to...

Re: Pianoteq 6.1 released

That's because it's the cinematic preset, so it has some compression going on... It does seem perfect for the piece. But even with compression it does sound alive. Well to this pair of ears anyways. ohh it does, it just seems like the top dynamics are squashed a little too much - but the bulk of th...

Re: Pianoteq 6.1 released

https://hearthis.at/xnwdv7yv/valse-courte-et-sentimentale/ Doesn't sound dead at all. Feels a bit limited at points... I'd like to hear that at like 80% of the signal, with no compression/limiting it sounds gorgeous, but that's largely because whomever is playing is playing something gorgeous - but...
