Re: Room360 - Spatializer

Interesting, will need to try this one. Reminds me of the old Rayspace from "waybackthen"...

You can safely split the different libraries to different drives. No problem.

Re: Gemini-assisted Reaticulate articulations for Reaper

No I didn't point it to the docs, just asked if it knew Reaticulate and the answer I got sure sounded like it did 😀 It took a bit of back and forth setting up the rules and priorities for what I wanted. And yes it started very good but when working on Modern Scoring Strings, which has about 120 "a ...

Gemini-assisted Reaticulate articulations for Reaper

I created a bunch of Reaticulate banks for various instruments for use in Reaper. What I didn't do was to sync all program numbers across the instruments. So in one instrument "legato" can have program number 10 and in another it can have 4 all depending on how many articulations and in what order ...

Re: Templates again, and process

I used to have a template with a bunch of disabled tracks but Studio One got a bit sluggish so I cut down on the numbers. With track presets that connect themselves to the correct buses it's almost as fast as disabled tracks.

Re: Templates again, and process

My "template" is more or less an empty project with a lot of FX-channels and summing busses ready to be "patched". Well, it has a single instrument track with a piano on it. Everything else I simply add with track presets. Want to load Synchron Strings Pro? Drag in that single preset in and all ...

Re: Laney Ironheart in digital form

The clean can go from sparkly clean to quite distorted. Depending on your pickups of course. My SG has active pickups so I need to dial down the volume for the real cleans. There is a boost option on every channel which can take you places :) There are also two modeled pedals, a boost and a ...

Laney Ironheart in digital form

This is for all you "metalheads" or Black Sabbath wannabies :) Right now Aurora DSP has a discount on the IRONHEART plugin: Aurora DSP Laney Ironheart laney-ironheart.png I bought it as soon as it came out since I'm a real wannabee. I also have the Laney IRT Studio all-tube amplifier (with a Two ...

Re: Reading up on Reaper

I too envy those skills Thomas, and I hope the pain recedes and the healing hurries the heck up. Thanks. It's getting slowly better but I'm on week 7 in bed now. Managed to walk 1.2 km yesterday, without crutches, but got some pain in return today. Need to walk though, it's doctor's orders. So ...

Re: Musio - latest stuff

So... Quick question to those of you who have it, worth $149 for Musio 1? I mean it is a lot of instruments but I would need to get some extra SSDs/M2s to have room for it all.

Re: Spectacle

Great post Guy, I share many of the "spectacles". I also remember whenever a new James Bond movie was released. If you wanted to see "proper" stunts and explosions nothing could top a Bond movie. I haven't seen the last 4 yet because stunts and explosions are everywhere :)

Re: Saturn 2 - More than saturation

MD3Sign has a preset pack for Saturn 2 that contains 111 presets for mixing and mastering. I have no idea if this pack contains anything worth purchasing and the text on the product page is so over the top — “We successfully delivered something that world never experienced before.” — that it dissuad ...

Saturn 2 - More than saturation

I've been a user of Saturn since like forever. I like it and use it a lot but never really checked it out thoroughly. My uses have been restricted to "let's saturate this band" type of effect. So I decided to look into it a bit more. If you haven't either then here are some videos to check for a ...

SonoBus - Streaming from DAW to whatever!

Just found a little gem in the form of a free streaming plugin/application that lets you stream from your DAW (or computer) to anyone using the same service, wether it is Mac, iOS, Windows, Android or Linux! Works extremely well, support for multichannel streaming, passwords and also very easy to ...

Re: MosaicDSP / Channel Strip 1

Using channel strips on every track to do most of the work and applying special compressors/eqs where needed is my prefered way of working. But the UI?!? This is design for design sake and not for usability. Sure it's "clean" but it is so clean it gets crowded. Nothing calls for attention, it ...

Re: Reading up on Reaper

Ok, I'll just keep on with my Reaperramblings :) I find it very fascinating. Had I not been forced to lie in bed I wouldn't had had the stamina to read/watch as much as I have about Reaper. Did a successful experiment today. I know my way around HTML, JavaScript and PHP. Programming is fun. However ...
