Re: JXL Brass - Orchestral Tools

Great! what Junkie XL instruments would you recommend?

I am leaning towards the cimbassi and bass trombones, and I would like some french horns and trombones but can´t decide about the number of players

Re: JXL Brass - Orchestral Tools

Resurrecting an old thread, I am looking for some (mainly) low brass to compliment CSB. I am getting some trailer jobs and this could be useful. I was first thinking in Ark 1 since I can also buy a la carte....what do you think? what are the highlights of JXL Brass? I am not completly sold on the ov...

Re: Eastwest Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition

I really hope they can do something about the woodwinds, I don’t like the tone besides the dreadful legato.

Re: Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra

I think Cinematic series are more of a sweet spot in terms of legato (with rebowed), mics, quality control and less hype. I will wait to hear the woodwinds to make a decision, because I think that will be a better orchestra as a whole

Re: Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra

Yes. I am still torn between this and continue with my cinematic studio investment (haven’t got brass yet)
I think that cinematic brass, winds and perc should cost more or less the same, but WW have been posponed to next year. Will wait for user opinions on BBCSO.

Re: Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra

I would like two players per woodwind instrument instead of a3, berlin was the one that got it right.

Will see what CSW bring to the table before jumping into this one. Nevertheless this looks very good!

Re: NI Komplete Kontrol M32 and 2.1 software

I just want the knobs and the encoder!! Just that row. I would put then on top of my qwerty keyboard.

I think they would sell a lot of them, I dont understan why they won’t do it.

Re: Cinematic Studio Brass ... soon ....

If I have to chose, I always like to tame samples than trying to put back frequencies that aren´t there, I think it will be much more simpler to take a little of the harshness away from CSB than making CSS more bright. I do like what I am hearing so far....the only bad thing is that my currency is 3...

Re: Spitfire Solo Strings update

I have it, it is very good to my taste, I don´t think is Joshua Bell in terms of responsiveness, but it is indeed good. I am hoping for viola and cello (or just cello in a hurry) The problem I am having is that the soft attack and slow progressive vibrato (they listened when we asked for a legato ve...

Re: Spitfire Solo Strings will be released July 12th

So what´s the consesus here with this one? I could upgrade form the old ones but those legato examples in the other forum are keeping me from doing it. They have that note sucking-no attack sound and I keep reading that they seem to be bad at fast passages. Also the vibrato transition seems too abru...

Re: VSL Synchron Strings I

Yes, I think I will go with the CSS+CSSS route, and then complete the cinematic orchestra...was tempted by spitfire and synchron for a moment but the original plan still holds

what do you think?

Re: VSL Synchron Strings I

Pablo, I love CSS (and HS) but this sounds good too. But very different sound, so I think it comes down to your taste. Thanks Jay, I think my taste does like the sound of it, it is the technical side who is not convinced, the connection between the notes keeps bugging me off. Maybe the synchron pla...

Can we have a discussion here without trolling and fanboish expressions? :)

Re: VSL Synchron Strings I

I was waiting for this to make a decision on my new strings. I was holding back on css+csss I like the overall sound but I still don’t like the legato I’ve heard, there is a lot of detache in the demos but there is not “next step” legato as they claim. I would like to hear a demo of a simple melody ...

Re: Fluffy Audio / Simple Jazz Bass

Just bought it, can't stop playing around while I should be working!

Beautiful tone, and playability

I second the idea of a subtle vibrato option with cc1, that could make it even better!
Congrats
