Studio One is really coming along.

Also, M1 comparability. Very interesting.

Re: Steinberg to drop the dongle

That was my thought, too, Larry. Steinberg is ending eLicenser so VSL is making a required switch. Not sure about Guys question of keeping two versions. I guess if you don’t upgrade, eLicenser will still function?

Re: G-Force / OB-E (Oberheim emulation)

I don't know their business, obviously. BUT, if they don't intend to be a huge business, and cater to a small user base, this makes sense. Maybe they are not interested in selling tons of copies, but only need to sell a couple a month to keep the lights on? Similar to TSB, the goal (I don't think) w...

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

Yeah - I think the solo/FC sections are included. I guess my thinking is the $549 price is ok off the regular retail price. but only $150-250 off the intro price, which isn't as great in my mind. And, since AudioBro is still running their Black Friday sale, it's hard to say when the RRP will go back...

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

Yeah, I am a bit disappointed in the pricing to be honest. I get that it’s not really LASS 3 and a new product. I agree Larry, they built it up too much with their comment. I guess that’s a no win situation for any dev.

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

Yeah, I don’t care for the sound much throughout. I was thinking maybe it was a video sync issue?

But, I can count on one hand the times I’ve used ART in LASS. I think I payed with it once and just didn’t get along with it.

Oh, we must be getting close to release, the videos are coming quicker.

(Also like the little dig to another just released “no theory” library)

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

Sounds pretty good to me. I find myself more interested in this library as time goes on. Very curious how this might work with MSB - that is high on my list as well.

Re: Modern Scoring Strings (aka LASS 3)

hmmm. Not an immediate purchase for me. I love LASS and use it all the time. I think at $199 I would go for it - but $399 (+$199) is a bit too much for me at this point. Will be very interested in seeing the demos and hearing it, but I am less excited by it than I once was. I understand they need to...

Wallet Storage

I have safely stowed my wallet away in a un-disclosed location as to not purchase anything more in 2020. Do not tempt me with you end of 2020 sales (Project Sam, U-He). Do not try and pry said wallet open - do not search for the location. I will not be turned. Happy Holidays everyone - see you on th...

Re: Performance Samples / Vista

Anyone else have troubles with the free sample? I downloaded it via Connect app and it seems to be installed - but when I start it in Kontakt, it can't find the samples, even though I point it to the Sample folder from the Install. EDIT: Got it working the Connect app keeps crashing before it instal...

Re: Performance Samples / Vista

Just hearing this now - I am downloading the free patch to give it a try. Like you Guy, I am a big fan of LASS - but this is a different sound from LASS for sure.

Re: ProjectSAM: Adaptive Runs, plus updates to Animator and Orchestrator

Just got around to watching you video Guy. Excellent job as always. Really appreciate you doing these. I missed the black friday deals and of course, I could really use Animator and this new one on a project I am working on. Most likely will purchase them this week. Could have saved a few bucks had ...

Re: Incoming: Straight Ahead's "Birth Of The Trumpet"

Thanks Craig. I’m not necessarily looking for that. I guess I am thinking I have things covered with Swing and Swing More if this trumpet isn’t really 4 steps ahead.

But thanks. I will check it out.

Re: Black Friday Post Mortem - How'd You Do?

Nothing for me either. Not even the freebies. I’m being super picky about adding stuff to an already overcrowded hard drive. More constraints is better for me.

Still looking at Project Sam Lumina and maybe the Fluffy Audio Clarinet. But so far, just looking.

Re: Pulsar Audio / up to 70% off

I'm pretty sure you must have mentioned this once before Piet - because I am on their mailing list - and now this post. Seems like you really dig their Echorec and I looked into it at one point, but thought $99 was too much for something I didn't think I would use much. But now, at $29 - seems like ...
