Re: Orchestral Tools Layers - Free Instrument
I wondered the same thing. Sounds very odd to my ear to hear him say it that way.

Re: Nextmidi Strings Library? Midi tool? coming soon
I guess I am getting old, or jaded. This kind of stuff excites me less and less. I have an iPad with Logic Remote. Never use it. Purchased Lemur - never used it. Got TouchOSC - never use it. The list goes on. It seems like a nice thing to do, but in reality, I revert to old school keyboard and mouse...

Re: Man Makes Noise releases Omnidose for Omnisphere 2.6
So are you saying it will be released Feb 9, 2020 when the intro price expires? I didn’t see an actual release date.
Edit: I see the wording now says “Releases” so I am guessing it is available.

After giving this some thought, I appreciate the nature of this teaser. It clearly show this product is not for me. And that is more than Ok. I don’t have to spend anymore time wondering.

I'm glad you said that - because it sounded really bad to me as well. BUT, I was listening on my iPad so I wasn't going to make any comments. Pretty much an easy pass for me.

Re: JXL Brass - Orchestral Tools
I may have gotten to a place where these kinds of announcements just don't excite me. Is it possible I have everything I need to get my job done?
I find myself a lot more excited about doing smaller projects with real players in the room then buying yet another library.

Always enjoy your videos Guy. Thanks for posting. I don't think this is something I need at this point, but it does sound good. And I do like the sync with the downbeats stuff - that is pretty cool.

Re: SonicCouture "MoonKits" / brushed drums
I can easily say this is a instrument I don’t have. I have some brushes with AD, but I’ve never found them very useful. Certainly going to take a hard long look at this. Very excited. I was just needing some brushes the other day. Thanks Piet.

I have the Soundtoys plate. How does this compare? Suppose I could have more than one plate verb, but don’t know that I want to spend the $100

Also - don't you think we might be coming to the point where clock speeds are less of a measurement? Kind of like how we no longer think about Megapixels in cameras? I'm not smart enough to know, but it seems like working with Apple's Pro-User group (or whatever they call that group of folks on site...

Re: The new Mac Pro
From what I’ve heard, Intel is having a hard time supplying Apple with chips. I think this is building a foundation so they can make the switch to ARM chips. And I think they have to strike a balance between the Macs used for audio and video/animation and other pro uses like development, AR...

Re: The new Mac Pro
And let us not forget the Macintosh IIfx with its 4 MB memory, 160 MB HDD. For a pretty $10,969 USD. (About $20k in today’s dollars) The top end has always been an investment. (It’s actually kind of interesting that the new MP is not far off from the old Mac II prices). Also, let’s not forget that w...

What have you got Larry, a 2012 MP? I have heard that if I put a new Vid card in, it will be compatible, but I haven't taken the plunge yet.

Re: The new Mac Pro
Way out of my league/budget no matter what - unless a lot more work comes my way. I am very curious if the new version of Logic Pro will require Mojave or Catalina - in which case I won't be able to run the latest version for the first time since switching to Logic v6/ My 2012 MP won't run either OS

I know a couple people who took his live class in LA and had really great things to say about it. Glad to see it’s available in this format. I don’t think it’s right for me right now, but I’ll bet it’s worth the admission fee.
