Re: Native Instruments Komplete & Upgrades 50% off
For anyone considering going for the CE version just because of the Symphony series, please do check them out further before deciding. In brief, I have the Essentials as part of Komplete 11U, but am sad to say I am not fond of them, especially when I compare them to other libraries such as Spitfire,...

Re. the “rolls”, the video for them on the web site is most informative, and I actually spent close to half a day expanding on the suggestions and creating longer and more complex rolls involving multiple instruments. Can definitely recommend at least two or three other videos as well since they exp...

Re: Cubase 10 released [10.0.20 update]
But why has the "Set up Colors" option in the Colorize pop-up been moved to Project > Project Colors Setup? Just extra clicking if one wishes to customize a color. Do like the option to choose color by name though. And why does this web site want me to spell "colour" as "col...

Re: Cinesamples Voices Of War: Men Of The North
I bought this a few months ago, have already used it in two smaller projects and am quite happy with my purchase. I understand some have concerns about the interface, but personally it is not a pronlem for me at all and is certainly more appealing on my own screen than when viewing the Cinesamples v...

Re: Revised Evos from Spitfire
It's way more than just a renaming. The Evos have been updated and altered and they now run in Spitfire's own engine. Some will like that, some will not, but the updates are free and one can also keep using the older Kontakt versions if they wish.

Revised Evos from Spitfire
Info available at the Spitfire site, but current users of their Evo products received the following: "We want to inform you of the new upgrade coming to the Evo Grid 1, Evo Grid 2 and Evo Grid 4 libraries. As you own one or more of these libraries you are eligible for the free upgrade(s). Intro...

Re: The Nemeio customisable keyboard
I use two full sized Stream Decks and would never want to be without them. I suggest the best time to buy them is usually on Black Friday because I don't see them going on sale all that often. In order to get the best out of one, I strongly believe the use of Profiles is essential. For example, when...

Re: Sonokinetic Woodwinds Ensemble - 24 hour sale at 80% off
Okay, so ditching 24 bit samples and running with the 16 bit ones, does save space...obviously... but curious as to why people are going with the 16 bit ones, and not the 24 bit samples. This has been debated a few times, but is the consensus that there's not much difference in sound so just use 16 ...

I am really on the edge of what to think about Eric Whitacre Choir, any experiences to share? Here's a bit of what I wrote elsewhere. Probably a bit too "gushy" for this forum :) but I am sincere about everything I offered. "One word: "Gorgeous". I've been totally immersed ...

Re: Pettinhouse / Classical Guitar 2.0
Okay, so here’s what I’m hearing....definitely a bit different than what I should be hearing (based on his .aiff file) My test file has 3 sections: a) Andrea’s aiff file of “All Notes” b) Andrea’s MIDI file of “All Notes” playing the guitar ‘right out of the box’ but Effects OFF c) Andrea’s MIDI fil...

Just about to install this. What did you mean by "off", Jay? Guess i will soon find out, but if something is wrong why does it sound so good in the demos when Andrea is playing it?

Re: Cinesamples Sale Extended until Fri 10/19
Time + Space sent an additional 20% off coupon along to me on the weekend so, coupled with the Cinesamples sale price, I ended getting Retro Trumpets for about $117 US. That sounds good until it's converted to ca. $150 CAN. :) I do feel even that is a bit high, BUT I do like the library, have no pro...

Re: Heavyocity Forzo Modern Brass
I see some interesting features I wouldn’t mind having, but once again for me it comes down to considering need and content vs. cost. Even with the NOVO discount, this library ends up costing $460 CAN and I just can’t justify spending that much money on a ‘speciality’ library. So it’s a pass for me ...

Re: Spitfire Audio releases British Drama Toolkit
Wonderfully, Larry! Certainly, as Guy mentioned, the piece comes more alive with the additional percussion and synth, and I also like that you've moved away from the minor key environment used in so many of the other 'demos'. When I first heard some pieces from this library I began wondering if it c...
