The way I see it- whether sampled, modeled or synthesized, there are ALWAYS compromises. Writing with virtual instruments is often about how you feel playing them, or at least that's true for me.

I think it can be made better, Piet. Far from perfect, but better.

I really do love the quality of my UAD plugs, but the bonus for others is more of a need for me, as I have an aged DAW computer.

Yay, a new Piet review! I vacillate between LASS, HS Gold and CS 2 for various purposes. I really can't justify the cost of Berlin, Mural, Sable, but I love the agility and small sections of LASS, the lush sound of CS2, the full and present sound of HS. Antares tried to go this route years ago. Occasionally, you could get some interesting results as long as you ignored what the models were supposed to be.
