Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
I mentioned Adaptiverb to Casey at Bricasti and he was saying that some of these techniques (albeit with less hardware capabilities) were used in the Ursa Major Space Station back in 1979 and are currently in the Kemper guitar amp profiler. He asked me if I wanted deeper info on the techniques - I p...

Ooo, must have Adaptiverb.
Thanks Guy, much better video. Obviously this does stuff that no other reverb does.

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
Hey wst3, Yeah, I've spent some time with Unveil and found it to be useful and mostly effective. Haven't needed to purchase it yet. I've also admired Unmix from a distance. I'm attempting to limit my plugin purchases to items that I might need for specific jobs so they haven't fully entered JackWorl...

Re: 2 new effects from Zynaptiq
The new reverb sounds (well, as far as I could tell from the noisy show floor video) quite interesting - a great take on an fx-type reverb. I look forward to the real online demos to understand how much depth it offers. The Zynaptiq boys are real propeller heads and their stuff is always good. Their...

Re: Steinberg Wavelab 9
Yeah, it would be great if it spanned the gap between DAW and mastering software a bit more.

Re: Steinberg Wavelab 9
Finally had a chance to see the intro videos. Wow, I have v.8.5, but this version is a whole new world. An incredible step up. Very well thought out. Good new workflow and some incredible plugins. It seems like if you do much mastering then v.9 is the way to go. If I was a Cubase user (which for bet...

Re: PSP Avedis E27 Plugin EQ Announced
Good call, Aesthete. Avedis is well known for its hardware. I didn't know about this plug until I saw your post. The five minute run-through video is succinct and well done. It has some great features and adds their preamp module sound to the package.
Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Impact Soundworks introduces Peak Rider
Yeah, looks like a great tool. When I first saw the announcement in my email box I quickly deleted it before checking it out. . I am curious about this initial reaction. Why was that? Honestly, my first thought was, 'Hmmm, a sample library developer trying their hand at making audio processing plug...

Re: Impact Soundworks introduces Peak Rider
Yeah, looks like a great tool. When I first saw the announcement in my email box I quickly deleted it before checking it out. I've now gone back and seen the video. The Attack, Decay and Trans buttons on main signal/Ext SC seem handy. Very straight forward GUI. No fuss, no muss. My only disappointme...

Re: Orchestral Tools: Metropolis Ark 1
I may buy it because it has suddenly become an arms race. I do write some epic stuff, and with prices this reasonable, the standard of largeness just went up exponentially. Yeah, kinda gotta buy it out of self-defense these days. You know the guy with a laptop who has two libraries? This will be on...

Re: Your Holiday Hauls
So far I think wst3 wins with his TEF unit. (Just had my room TEF'd two weeks ago. It's one of those necessary things you've got to do every so often.) Coupla plugs here... Waves API 2500, Softube Tube-Tech CL-1B and a software version of the Shadow Hills box. Plus I got some quality phone time with...

Re: Native Instruments Symphony Series String Ensemble
It seems like a light, Euro touch kind of sound. Not necessarily my cup of tea. The programing looks like it shows the influence of Andrew et Cie but tailored to meet a specific marketing niche. For me it doesn't have that sculpted sound and aggressive dynamic that LASS is known for. It's crafted we...

Re: VSL releases Vienna Suite Pro
Yeah, lots of good, useful stuff in there. The surround features make it stand out from the crowd of other developers. Of course VSL products have a high level of quality control. You don't have to download 6 versions of it over the course of a few months to get a fully working product. There are a ...

Re: Eventide Anthology X Bundle 40% Off Until 10-30
It would be nice if we could pick and choose any one of the whole collection and not pay for the whole thing. I'm with wst3 and TheUnfinished, there are some that are innately more valuable to some people. Most of us have enough of 'this and that' that is included in the bundle. DANGER, DANGER OT - ...

Re: Zynaptiq Unmix
Typically I've noticed that their demos are a bit 'hopeful'. Meaning that the videos are carefully crafted so that (in this case, for example) the instruments around the drums are in a frequency range far enough away from them so that with just the slightest bit of skillful plugin usage they can cre...
