Re: Strezov Afflatus Series

At 499 I would have been in (even 599 probably in), but with so many good libraries already sitting on my HD and often not being used I'm probably passing for now. I like the concept of different strings for different purposes but that in the end after users were confused was not a feature that last...

Re: VIR2 / Mojo2 Horn Section

Demo sounds nice but none of the soloists show any balls, it's all quite tame.

Re: Spitfire Audio releases British Drama Toolkit

Larry your piece is almost 2x as long as mine...;) Nice textures, my guess it would be difficult to do this with anything else... Thanks Quasar and Frank for the listen. Frank I got the levels to where I want them but the thing is say this was your piece, there are ways of dealing with things unlike...

Re: Spitfire Audio releases British Drama Toolkit

It has a bit of overlap to the EVO's, but here you can play individual instruments instead of things stuck in a group. As I mentioned on VI you won't write your next concerto with this, but putting together medium to slow evocative cues is like nothing else. I am not having an issue with transitions...

Re: Spitfire Audio releases British Drama Toolkit

I'm not a great keyboard player, hell i'm not even good but this is a ton of fun.
This library might even be fun for midi guitar since no mod wheel is needed.

Sample Fuel

Since no has mentioned this yet on this forum I am going to champion it here. Sample Fuel is a company formed by Danny Lux who over the past 25 yrs or so has been involved in some Americas most popular TV shows... https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0527668/ That someone of his pedigree has decided he neede...

Re: Vengeance Producer Suite - Avenger synth [1.3.1 FM cross modulation out now]

Got it, there is some similarity between this and stock Avenger...at 56 bucks on sale, probably worth it if you like this type of hybrid sound, sort of EDM cinematic, some very nice impacts and few other goodies. Nice addition but at least for me not a must have.

If you like using SCS then I'd say it is a good purchase, if you mostly use other things, then need is relative.

Dancing Cossacks, herds of Yak, a bit less useful.

Walk through is good and freebies at their site allow you to work with their engine to see if you get along with it.
Certainly worth a look or more.

Re: Orchestral Tools / Berlin Orchestra 'Inspire'

I just don't see this as a competitor for Sonuscore, almost totally different animal. Sonuscore is really about the arpeggiators, the library is bare bones. This is considerably deeper with more detail and no auto arranger which is basically what Sonuscore's arpeggiators are. Very few people are goi...

Re: The Unfinished / Zebra Velium

I rarely buy expansion packs for my synths but when I do Matt's are the first and often the last I check out. Maybe the best way to expand ones palette at an inexpensive price.

Re: Auddict releases "United Strings Of Europe"

you see there are only 2 velocity layers...I have not checked out how that is supposed to work.
That reminds me of Chris Stone's concept...he only used one layer but created velocities through eq and other trickery.

Certainly some noise.

Re: Unintentionally hilarious promo vid for (yet another) trailer library

It is funny and their walkthrough is a bit painful with such a drab delivery. I am not much into trailer products but for 8 gbs of content, this seems and sounds pretty cool. Let me know if there is anything better out there.

Re: Coming Soon from Heavyocity

I don't think they are done with videos yet. You might want to check my mini review on VI. As far as using it as a traditional library, there are some nice patches but not enough to cover what other companies already have out there. The library is very clean, the longs are good but no real vibrato t...
