Hi,
Performance Samples Con Moto Strings Bundle is on sale until March 12th. $299 (regular $529).
I like the way they sound. I don't have their Vista strings, so I thought Con Moto might be a good choice.
Anyone using these strings ? Would you recommend them ?

They also have other libraries/bundles on sale :

Thanks,

Re: Performance Samples Con Moto Strings Bundle on Sale
I do have the CM series, minus violins. They are narrowly focused in their usage, but in that they are very very good. In particular, I use the Celli any time I require a particularly expressive passage where other samples aren’t quite as effective. As such, I don’t believe I’ve ever used CM exclusively in a cue, but rather, they end up being used as bits and pieces here and there. Glad to have them but probably not indispensable to me.

Re: Performance Samples Con Moto Strings Bundle on Sale
Good for melodic lines and layering with other strings as a top layer - these are smaller sections and blend in very well. I agree with Luke that these are very specific and will need a more complete strings library to go with.
However, I believe VISTA is not like that and it has many more dynamic layers. However, still only sustains and legatos.

Re: Performance Samples Con Moto Strings Bundle on Sale
Hi
I checked Vista as well, it has less string players per section, more dynamic layers. But in general it's another Legato specialty strings library, but it is not on Sale.
I have lots of String libraries, that's not a problem here. I'm just thinking about adding Con Moto for its very nice legatos, and rich/expressive timbre. Plus they are on sale. The only other library I have from Performance Samples is their Fluid Shorts Strings, but I rarely use them.
Thanks.

Hi,
I decided to pass on both Performance Samples Vista, and Con Moto, since I already have some wonderful sounding legato strings, especially the flexible Performance Legatos available in Spitfire Audio's Chamber Strings , Symphonic Strings, and BBCSO Pro. Also have CSS, 8dio Strings, VSL, OT, and other String libraries with very good legato.
Cheers,
Muziksculp
