I have just purchased this and at this price tag they're a good buy. Be prepared to open the wrench in Kontakt and adjust the releases and other parameters, but then you have some good soloists for your orchestra... excellent fast legato and staccatissimo.

did a little test today with the winds, the Sicilienne from Fauré's suite "Pélleas et Mélisande", and they seem to behave pretty well...

Sounds nice.

Rob, is there a reason you would you use these instead of your usual VSL winds?

Hi Larry, only reason would be the multiple mic positions, in this case the stage mics are putting the instrument at the right distance while one of the close mics is adding detail. But also them being more intense in terms of tone and vibrato. The vsl are staying as well as the eastwest gold ones...

Listening to the demos, I wasn’t crazy about the oboe. What do you think? I also thought the clarinet sounded pretty good.

I'm not crazy too... had to manouvre quite a bit to make it phrase in an acceptable way. Like using the staccato patch, which isn't really staccato but has a clean attack, to start every initial notes of a phrase otherwise the attacks would be blurry. The timbre itself is not bad though:
