Audio Ease / Altiverb 8 for Windows

Post by Piet De Ridder »

The Windows version of Altiverb 8 has been released.
This new Altiverb adds amongst others a new scalable UI, VST3, and support for Dolby Atmos, including surround pan following reverb clouds.

If you purchased Altiverb after December 2022 you already have your Altiverb 8 license or you can get it by following Activate in the top menu bar of our website.
The upgrade license actually upgrades your Altiverb 7 license, which after that is no longer available. However if you need your Altiverb 7 to stay available we can supply a temporary license for this.

If you have purchased Altiverb before December 2022, you can upgrade your copy in our online store which costs 179 Euro (199 USD) for the XL version and 89 Euro (99 USD) for the Regular version.

Altiverb 8 is designed to replace your Altiverb 7 instances and sound the same in: Pro Tools, Nuendo, Cubase and Reaper, but possibly not in other host applications (DAWs, like Ableton Live, Pyramix, Sequoia).
In those hosts, to remain sounding the same, please first save an Altiverb 7 or VST preset from your Altiverb 7 instances, and import these later using the import button in Altiverb 8 that is located in the snapshots tab.

If you had any (custom/user/third party) IRs added to Altiverb 7, please copy these from:
C:\Program Files\Audio Ease\Altiverb 7\Impulse Responses\User Created IRs
C:\Program Files\Audio Ease\Altiverb 7\Impulse Responses\Third Party IR Libraries
to:
C:\Program Files\Audio Ease\Altiverb 8\Impulse Responses\User Created IRs
C:\Program Files\Audio Ease\Altiverb 8\Impulse Responses\Third Party IR Libraries

The IRTool app for creating impulse responses from sweep recordings is not available yet for Windows.

The download for Altiverb 8 is available from our website right now.

Thanks Piet. €106 upgrade for me. If I could have two installations I wouldn't hesitate.

IIRC they never do sales.
