VSTi host with mixed audio outputs

Post by Daryl »

I'm looking for a stable VSTi host that allows multiple configurations of audio outputs at the same time, such as a quad out and 4 x stereo. So far it seems I need to use a sequencer such as Cubase, but that's way overkill. I just need something that hosts the VSTi and sits there doing nothing else.

Any suggestions?

Maybe UAD Luna.
VE Pro doesn't allow mixed outputs. It's either all quads or all something else.

I've not used Luna. Will look at it. So far the best is Cubase Artist, but it has so many features I don't need.

Thanks, Thomas. It seems it's not currently available.

Not as a trial, only for purchase. Send them an email perhaps and see if they can provide one?

Done. Let's see if I get anywhere.

The problem is that there are a few options that, according to their blurb should be able to do the job, but none of them can.

So the answer is "no".

Daryl, you might take a look at Blue Cat’s Patchwork. It works in standalone and plugin modes and supports multiple outputs. There’s a demo offered at the link in this post.

Best,

Geoff

I'm trying to stay away from DAWs as it's overkill which is why I'm not considering using Cubase.
