So this new little app on the block, SMRT STEM, has dramatically decreased time spent on checking my stems/files for delivery.
The user can drop one or a bunch of audio files onto the app's interface, watch it humorously analyze your input, then spit out a verdict. The results include comments about timings, clipping (with actionable timings included), Time-Code related issues (if set up in prefs).
The bottom panel includes a rudimentary but very useful playback engine complete with Waveform Display, where one can audition the imported files, listen for listed problems, and even compare to a ref Mix just above; A-B'ing is done via a simple "B" toggle or with clicking.
I now use this as my de facto checker of *any* audio file I'm about to send out and it has caught several issues on the last two projects. Admittedly, small issues that would likely have gone unnoticed, but still meaningful for my peace of mind.
Hopefully, without bloating it, at some point it may have a more capable audio engine that allows for at least simple tasks, but even as of now, with an introductory price of $59, it is massively useful and a joy to use.

Re: Smrt Stem
Great find, Luke! This looks like another useful tool to help double-check for any mistakes I’ve likely made, especially during those late night bounces as you’ve pointed out. I just watched the walkthrough and it looks very easy to start using. Very straight-forward.
