Waves free plugin pack

Post by Guy Rowland »

The company many like to complain about more than any other just made the job of griping a tad harder - 9 free plugins. Can't see that there's even a catch. Yes you'll have to install Waves Central but that's been working ok now for years after a very rocky start in my experience. Plugins are:

AudioTrack
Flow Motion FM Synth
GTR Solo
IR-Live Convolution Reverb
Lil Tube
StudioVerse Audio Effects
StudioVerse Instruments
V-Comp
V-EQ3

EDIT - seems the Waves server as instantly melted down. Might need a couple of days to calm down is my guess.

Edit: removed my negative post about Waves. Never a good thing to dwell in the negatives, specially not if the company seems to have fixed things.

Thanks for the heads up, Guy. It looks like a nice set of freebies.

The catch in the past has been that freebie updates were only available by paying for the Waves Update Plan, but my understanding from another thread is that these come with free updates.

Edit: The Waves website does indeed say, “future updates for the Free Plugin Pack are also free.”

Best,

Geoff

Here's a video by Matty Harris that applies most of the free plugins to a vocal track:
